STUDENTS from HaywoodAcademy, Smallthorne Primaryand Mill Hill Primary cametogether for the first time toproduce the first ever CityLearning Trust production ofAnnie.

Macy Haughton (Year 7)stepped onto the stage for thevery first time in the lead role ofAnnie, belting out tear inducing, heartfelt classics like Maybeand Tomorrow.

The performance by Albany-Alice Halford, in the role of MissHannigan, showed outstandingmaturity in her ability to createso many shades and subtleties, inviting us to despise her, laughat her, pity her and, ultimately, warm to her as she was

reformed. Her misplaceddrunken faith in the brilliantlyfarcical Rooster (Rhys Atherton)and Lily (Saffron Duffield) wouldeventually leave to her downfall.

Miss Percival, Miss Smith

and Mrs Watkinson wish tothank all involved in theoutstanding performance. Weare truly proud to have suchtalented students and lookforward to the next production.
