IntroductionVin-Yet Architecture is a collaborative studio that specializes in commercial, residental and municipal architecture throughout the Carolinas. With a multi-faceted background in construction, art, design and mechanics; we are uniquely equipped to think outside the parameters of our discipline allowing for diverse and innovative design solutions. In all of our work, we foster an environment of collaboration and creativity with our clients, creative team, and community.
We strive to create architectural design that is both environmentally and fiscally responsible. This enables us to be good stewards of the lives, buildings, land, and resources that have been entrusted to us.

Southeast’s most respected residential designers, Vin-Yet was created as a direct response to the growing need for fresh approaches to design, employing the services of new technology while holding true the artisan values from which the profession was first realized. Bungalows or compounds, Justin has designed it all with the same level
of detail our customers deserve. Although he and his family have lived in various cities throughout South Carolina, they currently call Rock Hill, South Carolina home.

We are extremely pleased with Vin-Yet Architecture. We really wanted our home to reflect our personality and enhance the way we live day-to-day. There are so many unique touches we wanted incorporated into our home, and Vin-Yet hit every mark, making it a true custom home. The attention to all the little details makes a huge difference. We love our house!

Neo Burrito Interior Upfit
3,800 sf w/ open-air dining patioCompleted in 2011
Style – IndustrialBudget - $550k
Challenges – Intertwining Neo Burrito’s established industrial/bohemian brand with the up-scale brand of the Biltmore Park Development. The project uses reclaimed rain water, recycled
concrete, glass and repurposed metal beams to create an environmentally sensitive restaurant that focuses on minimal
ecological impact from its construction to the food service.

Shiland ResidenceComplete Interior Remodel
4,031 sf heated (5,274 under roof) Completed in 2012
Style – VintageBudget – $200k
Challenges – It is always difficult to take an existing shell and redefine the spaces within. People in the 1950’s lived drastically different from how we do today; and this floor plan illustrated that. Opening the kitchen and adding
some modern amenities were of the utmost importance to this client, all the while, keeping budget in mind.

First RestorationInterior Upfit & Design Package7,200 sf including a breakout room and training roomCompleted in 2011Style – ModernBudget - $725k
Challenges - FRS wanted to show case their ability to transform the most damaged structures into distinguished rooms of the highest caliber. This project is highlighted by its suspended articulated plywood ceiling that conforms its shape to the program of the space, services as an acoustical element and discreetly hides the HVAC, Audio and accent lighting.

New Construction, as well as outdoor living spaces designed3,676 sf heated (5,908 under roof)Completed in 2012Style – MediterraneanBudget – $700k
Challenges – This client from Pennsylvania had very specific ideas on how they wanted their house to look; it was our job to hone in on the details and create beautiful living spaces and moments. The topography of this lot, situated on a tee box in Tega Cay, South Carolina, was extremely steep, but presented great opportunities to design breathtaking outdoor spaces as well.

NBEO & NCCTOComplete Upfit for an entire high rise floor
22,000 sf heated Completed in 2011
Style – Contemporary Office and PseudoMedicalBudget – $1.4 million
Challenges – CThis project had a myriad of challenges to work through. The National Center of Clinical Testing in Optometry (NCCTO) is the testing branch
of The National Board of Examiners in Optometry., who’s primary purpose is the licensing of new Optometrist throughout the United States. In the past, there were 9 testing sites scattered throughout the country. We were charged with the task of
creating one new facility to house both the testing center (NCCTO) as well as the governing body (NBEO) on one 22,000 square foot floor in a high rise in Uptown
Charlotte. While these two factions are closely related, there were very restrictive security and interaction requirements, physically providing separate areas for the
staff, standardized patients and testing candidates. The budget for this project was very closely monitored by a board of directors, which introduced of creative options
to save money.

When we embarked on building our first custom home, we thought we would use prepared drawings available for purchase. We soon learned that for a home to be truly “custom”, it needed the interaction of both the design wishes of the homeowners and a talented architect who would incorporate those ideas presented into a working model; enter Vin-Yet Architecture. Working with vin-yet was a true pleasure. Nothing was too much. Moves and changes painless. Responsiveness gets an “A+” and the final product an absolute wonder to behold. We would heartily recommend Vin-Yet for your next design project!
