Makstil AD as a part of Duferco Group is one of the biggest industries in R. Macedonia, consisting of two plants, steel making plant and rolling plate mill for thick sheets. This company is a huge consumer of electricity. Therefore, it was among the first to be part of the liberalization of the electricity market in R.Macedonia and among the first who started to work on a solution for this issue. The request for accuracy at hour announced electricity consumption imposed the need for constantly monitoring of this parameter in production process. This has prompted considerations for full energy profile of the company in order independence and long-term energy savings. The concept of building our EnMS Systems - "One system for measuring and managing all energy resources," perfectly fit the needs of Makstil. In the first two stages of the system are integrated electricity and oxygen consumption. In the next stage, the other energy resources (gas, nitrogen, soft water ...) will be integrated. Along with inclusion of all energy and their measurement, the problems are perceived and initiate opportunities to resolve them, that directly lead to savings, as part of the last and most important stage for management with consumers in order to save. All this is done through a system, EnMS system of Makstil. The plant is powered by two transformers with 17 existing electricity meters that we upgraded with modules for ethernet communication because integration in EnMS system. All meters are grouped and each group communicate with their device / concentrator where is made data recording. Pulses from the oxygen flow meters are forwarded to its concentrator. Power Studio Scada software that is installed on the server continuously communicate via ethernet with concentrators and centralize data in one database. All these parameters through the software we interpret as graphics screens and reports according to the needs of Makstil and whose goal is to quickly and easily track the information. Additionally were made and virtual measuring devices for monitoring energy in certain plants of the company. As part of a modular system is a software for balancing and announcement (made by the company OMS) which has implemented legislation to purchase electricity on the open market with the following functionalities: monitoring of current, announced and consumed electricity, compared to the current trend of energy in Makstil announced by the hour, ongoing monitoring of imbalance with the ability to add or subtract energy. With all this, Makstil has the most precise information on consumption in the past, present and possibility to accurate forecast and announce of free electricity market. For the purposes of operating management were made special graphics and reports. In the system is enabled and client access from the outside.
