Turn the plasma screen on and select the correct channel

Check that the CODEC is switched on

Some Dos and Don’ts

Do not mix IP and ISDN connections in a multi site conference

Do not unplug any connections

Do not switch the ELMO document camera off

Do leave equipment as you found it

Do remember there is a slight delay with audio

Do adjust the camera angle to best suit your conference

Video Conference Tips

Avoid rustling papers and tapping pens.

Try to limit side conversations.

Close drapes on windows facing the camera.

Do not place mobile phones on the table.

Housekeeping

Return settings to default if altered

Turn off the plasma screen

Turn off the projector

Turn off the lamps on the ELMO

Return all remotes to the cupboard

Tidy up the table and push chairs in

Basic Troubleshooting

There’s no picture! Is the equipment turned on? Is the monitor on the correct channel?

I can see the other site but they can’t see me! Check that you are sending your image from the main camera (perhaps “document camera” has been selected instead)

There is a horrendous echo throughout the conference! One of the sites may have their volume up too loud. One of the sites may have their microphone too close to their

speaker/s.

Rebooting your Video Conference equipment

On/Off switch

Switch off, wait 15 to 20 seconds and switch back on.
