1947- Vasan Healthcare started a single Pharmacy in Trichy.

In 2002
The group started its
first eye care hospital in Trichy.
The venture was an immediate success.
In 2004
Vasan Eye Care hospital
was established in
Salem.
This was the first ever practice
acquisition model in India.
In 2005
First venture of the
Vasan Eye Care group
in Kozhikode, Kerala.
In 2006First venture of the
group in Karnataka at Hubli. A world-class
eye care facility was also established
in Kochi, Kerala.
In 2007Vasan Eye Care enters Chennai
through a merger with Prem’s Eye Clinic.
Six more eye care hospitals were established in Chennai.
In 2008Vasan Eye Care became the largest eye care provider in
India on setting up its 25th eye care hospital in Madurai
In 2009Established the
flagship hospital of Vasan Eye Care in Coimbatore.
In 2010Establishes hospitals in Hyderabad
and Banglore. And soon to be the worlds largest
eye care provider.
In 2010Vasan Healthcare ventures into
super speciality dental clinic in major cities of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh &
Kerala
In 2011
Vasan Eye Care enters North, East & Western parts of India
Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh inaugurates the 100th
Eye Care Hospital of Vasan at Karaikudi, TN.
In 2012
Government of Singapore Investment Corporation invests
$100 million in Vasan Health Care.
In 2013• Vasan ventures into the overseas
market. Inaugurates worldclass eye care hospitals in iDubai, UAE and Colombo, Srilanka
• 174th and 175th Super Speciality Eye Hospitals at Sivagangai and Karaikudi
• Vasan eye care hospital, Saidapet has been accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers
In 2014
• Launched World's First Social
Media(FB) App for Eye donation.
