AS DOMBIVALI VASAN EYE CARE IS NEWLY LAUNCHED IN DOMBIVALI IN MONTH OF DECEMBER 2014, THE MAIN OBJECTIVE WAS TO MARKETING DEPARTMENT IS TO CREATE AWARNESS ABOUT VASAN EYECARE SERVICES AND TO INCREASE FOOTFALL OF THE PATIENT TO THE HOSPITAL.
FOR THIS PURPOSE INITAILY WE STARTED TO PITCHED LOCAL GENRAL PRACTITIONER TO MAKE THEM AWARE ABOUT VASAN EYE CARE AND ASK THEM TO REFER PATIENT OF EYE PROBLEMS TO VASAN EYE CARE HSOPITAL
THEN TO CREATE AWARNESS ABOUT THE HOSPITAL IN IN NEAR BY PUBLIC WE STARTED ARRANGING THE FREE EYE CHECK UP CAMP AT DOCTORS CLINIC.
THEN WE STARTED ARRANGING THE CAMP IN NEAR BY BANKS AND GAVE FREE MASTER EYE CHECK UP TO BANK EMPLOYEES IN HOSPITAL.
NEXT WE DONE THE FREE SCHOOL EYE CHECK UP OF SCHOOL TEACHING AND NON TEACHING STUFF AND ARRANGED FREE EYE CHECK UP AT SCHOOL.
EXPERIENCE
Experience in the field of marketing. Interaction with the doctor bank manager and school principle. Got to know in and out of the importance of marketing in growing
healthcare industry.
BARRIERS
Lack of coordination between other marketing members. Allocation of camp date becomes difficult because every authority
want camp to be arranged on Sunday. Less time given to camp. Though patient are coming from camp to hospital for
Eye checkup it is not generating the revenue.
ANALYSISIn the whole working period, it was experienced that direct marketing is very effective way to approach customers.
Idea of arranging a free eye checkup camp to create awareness about vasan eye care and increasing a patient footfall to hospital is very effective way of marketing, but it is only effective in initial phase as hospital is newly launched in dombivali but at later stage the marketing strategy of free eye checkup camp have to change because it is not generating any revenue to hospital and for arrangement of camp man power is required which not enough available every time.
And asking a school teaching and non-teaching staff for free eye checkup and keeping follow up of them is difficult because we can’t call principle again and again.
CONCLUSIONOverall it is very good experienced of marketing.
Got to learn under the guidance of DGM Shrikant Joshi sir about marketing strategy of new hospital.
If tracked on regular basis it is easy to maintain relations with the authorities of doctor and other organizations so that whenever they are in need, can be provided with the service demanded.
