Product Description

Operation Principle, Application, Benefits ♦ The Valve Monitoring Interface (VMI)

enables valve gate piston monitoring from outside the mold tool. With VMI you are able to check that the piston are traveling as intended, and read actuator opening times, during the molding process.

Areas of Application ♦ A sensor installed on each actuator

sends position signals to a junction box. This data is transferred from the junction box to the main module, and then displayed visually on the main module. Green/Yellow/Red LED lights convey respective Opened/Transition/Closed piston position status data.

1. Main Module ♦ Provides up to 24 zones of visual status

indication. ♦ An LCD displays time taken to go from

Closed to Opened, for any two zones. ♦ Relay outputs provide fully opened and

fully closed signals to other equipment via the DB50 connector.

♦ The Main Module has permanent magnets to enable mounting onto any magnetizable surface.

2. Junction Box ♦ The Junction Box is the interface

between the main module and the piston position sensors.

♦ 12 & 24-zone junction boxes are available. Calibration data is stored in the Junction Box, allowing the Main Module to be used between multiple Hot Runner Systems.

♦ Facilitates simple upgrade to synflow® by using the same junction box.
