A vacancy has arisen in the Childrens Unit at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy for an Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner at Band 7 level to join our team. At present we have 3 qualified Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner.

Our unit consists of an outpatient department, ambulatory care unit and an acute paediatric ward. We care for children requiring both medical and surgical nursing whilst working closely with the Neonatal Unit, Accident and Emergency department and Theatre Recovery and the tertiary centres in Edinburgh and Glasgow

You will be required to be a qualified Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner with recent experience of working as an APNP. You will be required to work within a multidisciplinary team being accountable for the delivery of specialised episodes of care. Excellent communication skills and multi-disciplinary working are essential

An up to date knowledge of evidence-based practice, and a commitment to learning and the delivery of clinically effective care are vital.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior nurse with the skills to lead the ward team. You should be educated to or working towards a nursing degree. The post will be predominately Monday to Friday.

You should have extensive post registration experience with relevant experience within colorectal surgery. You must also have proven managerial experience.

As the Senior Charge Nurse, you will be committed to continuous professional development and possess excellent communication and organisational skills. As an experienced Nurse you will provide strong clinical and practical leadership to the Nursing Team, whilst promoting partnership with the multi disciplinary team.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen in Maternity and Neonatal Services within NHS Fife for an experienced Midwife/Nurse to develop the Specialist Bereavement Midwife/Nurse role. This post is a joint development between NHS Fife and Fife SANDS.

You must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work within the team and independently.

Responsibilities include coordinating high quality bereavement care and support for parents within Maternity/Neonatal services. This post will also be responsible for designing and delivering training to staff and ensuring Maternity/Neonatal Services meet the National Standards as set out by the Scottish Government.

An up to date knowledge of evidence based practice and a commitment to the delivery of clinically effective and compassionate care is essential for the post.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join the Parkinsons Nurse Specialist team within the organisation. The Fife wide Parkinsons Nurse Specialist service was set up over 17 years ago and provides specialist advice, information, support and education for people with Parkinsons and allied conditions. It is also a resource for professionals involved in their management within health, social care and the voluntary sector at all stages of the condition. The service predominantly works within the Movement Disorder clinics across the region which are supported by multidisciplinary teams.

You will be an experienced first level registered nurse with significant post registration experience. Evidence of ongoing professional development and be able to demonstrate relevant clinical experience. You should have proven experience and interest in Parkinsons Disease and multidisciplinary team management of long term conditions. Excellent communication skills, organisation and analytical skills are considered essential. Regular travel throughout Fife is required.

This post offers an excellent opportunity for a cardiac support nurse to work within Fifes Community Cardiac Nurse Team to enhance care and support new and existing services.

The Cardiac Support Nurse role supports the delivery of care to support recovery in the community post cardiac event including heart failure. You will support the Cardiac Specialist Nurses providing short term intensive support to patients with heart disease so they can self manage their condition in the long term. The role includes the identification of risk factors and risk factor management and supporting the titration of medications. It involves working in partnership across primary and secondary care, including agencies and organisations outside the NHS to support people with heart disease through health behaviour change

You should have some experience in cardiac nursing, good communication skills and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Getting it right for every child (GIRFEC) is a national programme that aims to improve outcomes for all children and young people in Scotland. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced RSW to join our Intermediate Care Team as part of the Integrated Community & Support Services (ICASS) in the St Andrews Locality. The Intermediate Care Service provide rehabilitation and reablement to the adult population within the locality. This will be delivered to service users as in-patients, out-patients or within their own home.

The primary function of this role will be to work with the Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy & District Nursing Services within Intermediate Care to deliver therapeutic treatment programmes to service users in the ward setting or their own homes, preventing hospital admission and supporting early discharge from hospital. Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists & District Nursing will provide specialist assessments to this patient group and allocate work to this post holder. This post will primarily deal with the function of daily care in the community, a service provided 365 days of the year from 0800-2200.

You will have an SVQ Level III in Health and Social Care or equivalent. Experience working as a support worker would be desirable. It would be desirable to have experience working with older people as they are the main group of service users referred.

Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team you will be expected to carry out ongoing treatment programmes for a mixed caseload of mainly older people. You will have good organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work independently as well as within the team.

There may be occasions where you will be required to work in one of the other community hospital sites within the Division therefore the ability to travel throughout the area is essential. You will be required to work 25 hours flexibly over 7 days.
