Elixel is looking for a UX Designer to join the design team, working in our studio in Plymouth (can be remote based) and occasionally at customer locations.

As a product designer, you will have the opportunity to tackle complex problems whilst collaborating with the rest of the design and development team, helping to discover, define and iterate solutions for our clients and their customers. The role will involve high level client stakeholder engagement, facilitating workshops to understand the user needs and business objectives to improve the customer experience.

Salary up to £45K (37.5 hrs per week)

● Able to work in an iterative fashion, collaborating closely with team members and clients to define problems and goals

● Communicate design specifications with other designers and developers

● Able to understand, and where appropriate, challenge business requirements to champion user needs

● Able to work within the scope of client design and business needs, and technical constraints

● Experienced in clearly presenting interactive designs to key stakeholders at various levels

● Strong skills in UX design and hosting discovery workshops

● At least 2 years of cross-platform design experience in a similar role (web and mobile)

● Experienced in user research and usability testing

● Confident in leading design projects

● Prototype concepts to different levels of design fidelity to validate ideas

● Experience working with common prototyping tools (Such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch)

● Knowledge of design principles

● Good time management skills and comfortable working independently at times

Essentials

The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) and the salary is based on your level of experience.
