Using ID PRO (Version 6) Before proceeding to ID PRO, an image template of the card appearance should have already been prepared using an Imaging software (Corel Draw, Paint, Photoshop etc), it should be set to a size specification of 3.4 inches in width and 3.1 inches in height and saved in jpeg format . This template image should be saved in a folder of your choice. ID PRO ID PRO is a Biometric card designing and printing software. it is used specifically for assigning data to a biometric card which can be recognized by any device that reads Biometric card. The ID PRO software comes in a CD accompanied by a USB flash-drive, the CD contains the installation file while USB flash-drive serves as a dongle which contains a key which opens the already installed application. the dongle is a necessity for the application to run, without the dongle being plugged into the USB port, the application will not work. To run the application. Locate the ID PRO 6 application on your desktop and click on it, a box will pop up asking you for your USERNAME and PASSWORD. enter the appropriate username and password in the required field to proceed. After the step above has been successfully completed, the ID PRO User Interface (UI) opens, the UI is a rectangular box that consists of 3 buttons at the top, 3 buttons located on the left, 2 buttons on the right and an exit button under.

Using ID PRO (Version 6)

Before proceeding to ID PRO, an image template of the card appearance should have already been prepared using an Imaging software (Corel Draw, Paint, Photoshop etc), it should be set to a size specification of 3.4 inches in width and 3.1 inches in height and saved in jpeg format . ID PRO

ID PRO is a Biometric card designing and printing software. it is used specifically for assigning data to a biometric card which can be recognized by any device that reads Biometric card.

To run the application.

Design Data Base

The Design Data Base is for creating and specifying the Biometric Data fields that will appear on the card and their characteristics. Fields like Name, Department, Faculty, Blood group, Address etc. Characteristics to be assigned to this field include Capitalization (if that particular field data should be in capital letters), the maximum number of characters the intended data fields will have, if it is necessary that filling a particular field be mandatory.

To do this

Click on Design Data Base on the UI box to proceed to Design Data Base windows On the Design Data Base windows, Click on the "Add Field" Icon located at the top of the

Windows Proceed to Assign Characteristics to the field in the options created for that in the right hand

side of the windows. Save when you are through using the diskette icon located at the top of the window.

This is used for designing the Data Entry Screen, this is the screen where the data will be entered for the fields above. it involves arranging the fields created above in Design Data Base on a windows in your preferred format.

This is done by

Click on Design Screen on the UI box to proceed to Design Screen windows Double clicking on the data fields located on the extreme right corner of the windows and

dragging the labeled box that pops in the Grey mini-windows located at the center of the windows to your preferred location on the Grey mini windows.

Save when you are through using the diskette icon located at the top of the window.

Design Badge Layout.

This is used for completing the design process initially started in your Image application (Corel Draw, Paint, Photoshop etc). Here you arrange the Data fields created above in Design Data Base, in your card Image template.

It involves matching the data fields to the corresponding field in your Image template. this is so that the when data is being inputted at the Data Entry phase, they appear in the appropriate field of your Image template.

To do this

Click Design Badge Layout on the ID PRO 6, then proceed to Design Badge Layout windows On the Design Badge Layout windows, right click on the white box located at the center of the

screen, select properties, in the windows that opens, select Standard badge Layout and also Double Side (because data fields are to be assigned on the front and back of the card). Click on Ok to proceed back to the Design Badge Layout.

The next step involves Importing your Image template created in your Image application (Corel Draw, Paint, Photoshop etc). Positioning properly on the white box located at the center of the windows, double clicking on the data fields located on the extreme right corner of the windows and dragging the labeled box that pops in the white screen to the appropriate location on the card. Save to preview your work or when you are through using the diskette icon located at the top of the window

Individual Data Entry

This is used for entering Data for a single Biometric card.

To do this

Click on Individual Data Entry You are directed to the windows you created on the Design Screen Layout. Input the appropriate data for that particular individual into the corresponding data field. Click on the camera icon located at the top of the windows, browse for the individuals passport

photograph. Save to preview your work or when you are through using the diskette icon located at the top of

the window. To print, click on the printer icon located at the top of the windows.

This is for inserting multiple data, it is ideal when creating a large number of cards, Data is imported as a list from Microsoft Access in a drive from the server (E:\ID Pro Staff\ID PRO ACCESS)

Entering data is carried out by

Clicking on Multiple Data Entry and proceeding to its windows.

Select Options located at the top of the ID PRO UI windows, select System

Badge Option.

Select Badges. select the appropriate options as shown below

1. Run time error

Select Options located at the top of the ID PRO UI windows, select System, select User/Locks Delete "the order white error"
