IEI Civil is a technical student’s chapter at Mani-
pal University Jaipur aiming to focus on recent
technical advancements and providing hands on
practical experiences in the field of Civil Engi-
neering.
Various technical and skill development activities
are held regularly along with workshops and
short term certified courses for importance soft-
wares related to Civil Engineering. Regular site
visits are also organized where students can par-
ticipate and gain knowledge from each other.

ABOUT SEMINAR
Department of Civil Engineering, Manipal Univer-
sity Jaipur is organizing 1st National Level Seminar
on “Research Advancements and Prospects in
Civil Engineering (RAP-CE)” on 20th April 2018.
Distinguished speakers from leading institutes
(IISc/IITs) across India will be delivering lectures
on the recent research development and opportu-
nities in different domains of civil engineering (i.
e. water resources, transportation, geotechnical,
structure, construction management etc.); high-
lighting research gaps. The knowledge sharing
among the participants is expected to initiate col-
laborative development at individual and organi-
zational level, eventually benefitting local develop-
ment.
ABOUT MANIPAL UNIVERSITY JAIPUR

ABOUT JAIPUR
Jaipur, also known as Pink City, is the capital of
the Indian state of Rajasthan in western India. The
city of Jaipur was found by Maharaja Jai Singh II in
the year 1727. Jaipur is a popular tourist destina-
tion of India. Jaipur city is home to two UNESCO
world heritage sites: the Jantar Mantar and the
Amer Fort. Few of the visitors attraction include
the Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, City Palace, Digamber
Jain temple and Birla Mandir. Jaipur city is well
connected by Roads, Rail and Air.
