Overview With the complexities of deploying any new technology comes the challenges of management and control. Lync and Skype4Business are no exception to this and it is essential to have clear visibility of usage to ensure that the potential business benefits are being realised. UC Analytics has been specifically developed to assist organisations in driving user adoption showing volumes of voice, video, conferencing and IM traffic. We can now also view over 3,000 different device types that are being used such as Lync / SfB desktop client, Apple Ipad or Iphone, Android phone, Windows phone and more. In addition, we can also see the version devices or users are on (Lync 2010, Lync 2013 or Skype4Business) which is particularly useful when tracking the progress of upgrades. As UC Analytics can also log other UC platforms and legacy PBX’s making it possible to monitor the transition to Lync or Skype4Business over a period of time. All of the above is addressed both with our dashboards and fully automated reports: USER ADOPTION Dashboard – Call Type Summary

This dashboard displays the volume of Voice, Video and IM traffic at 1 hour intervals throughout the day. Filters can be applied for Extensions, Employees, Organisation Units, Gateways and Call Direction. Full reports can be generated with a single click on the relevant area on the dashboard.

Standard Report – User Adoption

This standard report shows the duration in minutes of Voice and Video calls, the total number of users of Voice, Video and IM both graphically and in a table. The time interval can be defined to Daily, Monthly or Yearly and further filters can be applied for date range, data source and organisation unit. User Defined Reports Due to the flexibility and user defined nature of the reporting in UC Analytics it is easily possible to create your own format of report to deliver specific information. One such example of this can be seen below where percentages of the different modalities of communication can be seen. This also has click through reporting giving detailed information for individual users directly from this summary report.

This summary report shows the versions of Lync and S4B being used throughout the organisation. Ran over a period of time this can be used to track progress of upgrading versions and in the case of a hybrid deployment such as one including Cisco, all data sources can be tracked to show volumes of traffic over the different platforms.
