It seems that understanding is developing that ulti-mately all these initiatives have common goals and overlapping target groups. Consequently industry leaders have taken initiative and move in an inclusive way. This is indicated by the appearance of acceleration and co-working relat-ed topics on the agendas of business incubation con-ferences,

InBIA also has actively opened up for different member groups, for example, accelerators and co-working spaces. Both associations also are restructuring their conference schemes to further strengthen interactive and participants centered work patterns. Most important to this attendee were the expanded opportunities to learn more about support programs for international entrepreneurs within their own coun-tries and especially when they are expanding globally (“Smart Launches and Soft Landings”). As a pre-conference all-day program, the InBIA initiated a BIG Summit (Business Incubation Global Leadership Summit) and, on the second day, a Fireside Chat “Driving Global Innovation Through High-Impact Federal Programs.“ These and other sessions included speakers from incubators, science parks, and support-ing governments from many countries in addition to the U.S. Some of these were: Australia, Belgium (for

There were between five and seven sessions offered within each of the seven topic areas entitled: Serving Entrepreneurs, Entrepreneurial Ecosystems, Trends and Innovations, University Entrepreneurship, Incubations Operations & Sustainability, International Entrepreneur-ship, Specialty Incubation. Prominent within many of the discussions were useful concepts of mapping the environments and ecosystems, and using metrics (data) to help guide the entrepreneur clients in addition to demonstrating the value and impact of incubators and accelerators to their stakeholders. Cassim and Wayne Berger, analyzed differences between the startup ecosystems of these two South African cities – and believe that cooperation could help combining the best of both. The planning and programming for this tour from Joburg to Cape Town and Stellenbosch was based on earlier experiences from 6 successful Johannes-burg-based events and 4 start-ups sourcing funding. Also the successful earlier tours of the Ampion Ven-ture Bus (for example the tour that started in Wind-houk, Namibia in November 2015) provided experi-ences and insights to learn from. After an intense advertising campaign the 3-day-tour was attended by 18 participants, including individuals from the UK, Belgium, Nigeria, and Australia. The group had the opportunity to get an overview of
