FOR ALTOONA: Right-hander Rob Scahill makes his first start with the Curve on an MLB rehab assignment. Pitching in his first season with the Pirates, the Winfield, Ill. nave went 2-4 with a 2.08 ERA in 24 games for Pisburgh this year before being placed on the 15-day disabled list with right forearm ghtness in late June. He pitched one rehab appearance with the GCL Pirates on Aug. 6, tossing two scoreless innings. Scahill was selected by the Colorado Rock- ies in the eighth round of the 2009 MLB Draſt out of Bradley University. He was traded to Pisburgh in November for right-handed minor league pitcher Shane Carle, who is currently a member of the New Britain Rock Cats. FOR BINGHAMTON: Right-hander Seth Lugo makes his 19th start for the B-Mets this year. In his last start, Lugo made his Triple-A debut with the Las Vegas 51s and picked up a win over Salt Lake, allowing two earned runs over five innings. In his last oung with Binghamton, Lugo lost to Richmond on July 31 aſter allowing six earned runs in 5.2 in- nings at The Diamond. Lugo is in his first season at the Double-A level. He was selected in the 34th round of the 2011 MLB Draſt out of Centenary College of Louisiana. SETTING THE TABLE: Adam Frazier was on fire in June, bang .424 (28/66) with a home run and eight RBI, raising his overall average from .293 on June 1 to .363 at the end of the month. Frazier has assumed the everyday leadoff dues, and when bang at the top of the order this season he is hing .345 (77/233) in 55 games. He went on a career-best 15-game hing streak in July, and followed with a nine-game hing that ended on last Monday night against Richmond. He had two hits in each of the last seven games of the streak. Frazier missed the beginning of the season aſter breaking a finger in Spring Training and has not played enough games to qualify for the league leader- board. MAX ATTACKS: Infielder Max Moroff has connued his hot hing through the enre season. His 128 hits are the most in the league and he sits sixth with his .304 average. His .377 on-base percentage is the fourth-best, he is third with 52 walks and first with 64 runs scored. Aſter compiling a 30-game on-base streak and an 11-game hing streak earlier this season, he went on a 12-game hing streak in June. Moroff is on pace for 159 hits this season, which would break the record for most by a Curve switch hier set by Shawn Garre at 142 in 2002. The overall franchise record for the most hits in a season is 178, set by Starling Marte in 2011. HATS FOR BATS, KEEP BATS WARM: The Curve are leading the 12-team Eastern League in bang average with a .274 clip entering play tonight. Aſter bang .248 in April, the Curve have baed .280 (863/3083) as a team since May 1. The Curve have two acve players hing .300 or beer -- Adam Frazier (.338), Max Moroff (.304) and Jose Osuna (.300). However, of those baers, only Moroff has enough at-bats to qualify for the league leaderboard. Four players were bang over .300 when earning a promoon to Triple-A, including Dan Gamache (.335), Willy Garcia (.314), Josh Bell (.307) and Keon Broxton (.302). JaCoby Jones hit .385 in his three games before being traded to the Detroit Tigers’ organizaon. THE BRAULT VAULT: Curve leſty Steven Brault won the Eastern League Pitcher of the Week Award for July 27-Au- gust 2. In two starts, he went 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA, totaling 15 strikeouts in 12 innings. He also went 2-for-2 at the plate against Richmond last Wednesday, driving in two runs on each of his first two professional hits. The La Mesa, Calif. nave has picked up a win in each of his last five starts since July 18, posng a 1.20 ERA during that span with 32 strikeouts in 30 innings. REWRITING THE RECORD BOOKS: The Curve have set a handful of new franchise records in 2015. On July 21, the offense totaled 24 hits, the most in a single game in team history, in a seven-inning win over Erie. In the same game, which Altoona won, 18-7, the team reocrd for most runs in a game was ed. Jose Osuna also set a new individual single-game franchise record by scoring five runs. On May 25, Dan Gamache went 5-for-5, tying the Curve franchise record for most hits in a game by a single player. On May 17, the Altoona pitchers combined for 13 walks, seng a new record. ROAD TO THE SHOW: Two former Curve players have joined the ranks of Major Leaguers for the first me in 2015. Former Curve outfielder Alex Dick- erson (2013) made his MLB debut with the San Diego Padres on August 6, becoming the 119th Curve alumnus to reach the big leagues. TONIGHT: The Curve and Mets play the first of a three-game set at PNG Field. Altoona enters tied with Akron for second in the Western Division, 4.5 games behind the first-place Bowie Baysox. Binghamton enters sitting second in the Eastern Division, 1.5 games behind first-place Reading. Last time these two teams met, the Curve took two-of-three at PNG Field May 29-31.

FOR ALTOONA: Right-hander Rob Scahill makes his first start with the Curve on an MLB rehab assignment. Pitching in his first season with the Pirates, the Winfield, Ill. native went 2-4 with a 2.08 ERA in 24 games for Pittsburgh this year before being placed on the 15-day disabled list with right forearm tightness in late June. He pitched one rehab appearance with the GCL Pirates on Aug. 6, tossing two scoreless innings. Scahill was selected by the Colorado Rock-ies in the eighth round of the 2009 MLB Draft out of Bradley University.
