Each student shall be required to submit a report on a proposed chemical plant. The report shall

include feasibility analysis with special emphasis on market survey, investment policy and economic

viability.

ChE 607 Project Work (Thesis)-II [Project Work I] (0L+0T+6P) Full Marks 200

Each student shall be required to carry out investigation on an industrial research problem under the

supervision of a teacher. Two type-written and bound copies of the final report on the research

problem shall be submitted by the candidate at least 15 days before the commencement of B.Tech

Semester VI examination. The examination for Project Work(Thesis)-I I shall be on the basis of the

report submitted and viva-voce during end semester examination

ChE 608 : Plant Design (Home Work) (0L+0T+4P) Full Marks 100

Each student shall be required to submit two copies of project report on the design of a chemical plant

to be worked out by the student under the guidance of a teacher. The design should, as far as

practicable, be based on the consideration of optimum process conditions with instrumentation and

control. The examination shall include a viva-voce on the project report.

ChE 609 : General Viva-Voce Full Marks – 100

Comprehensive viva-voce to test the student's overall grasp of the principles of Chemical Engineering

and allied subjects.
