Whether it is in mes of emergency or those dealing with chronic issues, the United Way is there with a variety of services to meet those needs. Those services are delivered by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. It is our donors, however, who make it all happen. Its how we show that we care. The United Way believes that our partnerships are our greatest strength. A prime example of these partnerships is the ongoing support from Crayola Canada. 2018 marks the 30 th anniversary of Crayolas annual sale in support of the United Way! For over a half century, our community has historically had incredible leadership by businesses, individual donors and volunteers. Together, with your help, we have evolved to meet the changing and emerging needs of this community. United Way donors and volunteers give with purposeful thought because they know their donaons are invested locally for vital responses to people who live here. Since 1986 more than $7 million has been invested into our agency partnersprograms. The results can be seen in enhanced food security, improved youth educaon, increased job skills and beer health outcomes. The evoluon of how your United Way has influenced social change is a remarkable testament to people who have made a choice to care about other people. Our collecve investment has provided help immediately for our families, neighbours and colleagues. For many people, our funded agencies have delivered programs that have had profound and life-changing impact. Over the past decade, we have seen the number of people touched by United Way grow from 23,000 to more than 35,000 people. Every contribuon counts. We oſten underesmate the effect that our support can have. A helping hand to someone in need can have a life altering effect. Agencies like the United Way are what makes Kawartha Lakes the great community that it is. Please give generously.

United Way for the City of Kawartha Lakes

The City of Kawartha Lakes is a wonderfully vibrant community, but there are those within this community who need our help. Whether it is in times of emergency or those dealing with chronic issues, the United Way is there with a variety of services to meet those needs. Those services are delivered by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. It is our donors, however, who make it all happen. It’s how we show that we care. The United Way believes that our partnerships are our greatest strength. A prime example of these partnerships is the ongoing support from Crayola Canada. 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of Crayola’s annual sale in support of the United Way! For over a half century, our community has historically had incredible leadership by businesses, individual donors and volunteers. Together, with your help, we have evolved to meet the changing and emerging needs of this community. United Way donors and volunteers give with purposeful thought because they know their donations are invested locally for vital responses to people who live here. Since 1986 more than $7 million has been invested into our agency partners’ programs. The results can be seen in enhanced food security, improved youth education, increased job skills and better health outcomes. The evolution of how your United Way has influenced social change is a remarkable testament to people who have made a choice to care about other people. Our collective investment has provided help immediately for our families, neighbours and colleagues. For many people, our funded agencies have delivered programs that have had profound and life-changing impact.
