1) As a unique identifier:- Clean up databases – removes duplicates,
ghosts- Develop integrated MIS/CRM solutions across
programs
2) As an identity & access management tool:- Provides online authentication- Reduce authentication costs – no cards,
inexpensive devices- Fully interoperable solution provides flexibility to
state to integrate across programs- Provides mobility and choice to residents
Empowers common man through better access and choiceStates to re-engineer systems for greater efficacy, efficiency
Technology enabled service delivery solutions
…Needing multiple, complex POS devices…
Multiple smartcards/cards…
…with disconnected backend/ MIS
NREGA Pensions
IAY RSBY
High cost, high complexity,
low flexibility
Disparate offline solutions
Current scenario:
…Requiring inexpensive POS devices
…with an integrated backend with all the business application residing at the backend
NREGA Pensions
IAY RSBY
AADHAAR based online solution
Proposed scenario:
Least cost, least
complexity, improved flexibility
With a mobile portal
