• World Trade Organization Dispute Settlement, Pablo Bentes, Director of International Trade & Investment at Steptoe & Johnson's D.C. office.

• Class Action Litigation, Adam Moskowitz, partner at Kozyak, Tropin & Throckmorton.

• Human Rights & Environment, Daniel Magraw, Fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute at Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and President Emeritus at the Center for International Environmental Law (CIEL).

Areas covered by the course will include: - MBA Essentials for Lawyers – Business Strategy; Competitive Theories- How do clients choose a lawyer? What criteria do they use and how do you match them?- What clients want in service delivery – the view from the General Counsel. - Building a powerful network of contacts and developing a personal brand.

• Representing the Professional Athlete

This course is taught by Professor Peter Carfagna who serves as Senior Counsel for Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP, in Cleveland, one of the preeminent Sports Law firms in the country. He has also served as Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel of International Management Group (IMG) and was Senior Partner at Jones Day LLP.

Areas covered by the course will include: - Problems an agent/attorney confronts when helping an athlete “go pro.” From there, the class discusses the agent’s fiduciary duty to his client and proceed to discuss some of the more important legal doctrines relating to the athlete-representation profession, involving intellectual property law, labor law, and contract law.

This all- virtual synchronous course will provide students with an overview of the current and evolving compliance landscape and emerging best practices both within the United States and Germany.

Over a 3-month period, LWOW X teams up students from 4 law and business schools around the world—Miami Law, University of Montreal, University College London, and IE University—with academic, lawyer, and entrepreneur mentors to develop business plans that tackle the main problems facing legal education and practice today.

Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy• Justice Kennedy spoke at length about the Framers of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the

separation of powers and the concept of checks and balances.

Richard Susskind, Authority on the Transformation of Legal Practice and Services• Susskind, Order of the British Empire, is an author, speaker, and independent advisor to

major professional firms and to national governments. His main area of expertise is the future of professional service and, in particular, the way in which IT and the Internet are changing the work of lawyers. He has worked on legal technology for over 30 years. His latest book, is entitled Tomorrow's Lawyers (2013).
