iving close to your classes is convenient, and many students

find that living on campus is the most rewarding experience

of their college lives—lifelong friendships are made. On

campus, you can also cheer on the Knights at our athletics venues,

grab a bite to eat a short walk from your residence hall or catch a

concert at the UCF Arena. Plus, you’re closer to what’s happening

with any of our 350–plus student organizations.

Your Second Home

It’s fun to live on campus, but you’re also more

likely to succeed in the classroom and connect

with other students. If you didn’t know that, you

might not know that freshmen who live on campus:

Include 70 percent of the incoming class

Have higher GPAs

Are more likely to graduate

Connect more deeply to the UCF community

Are more likely to get involved and become leaders

Choosing to live on campus is so much more

than choosing a place to live—it’s choosing a

place to thrive.

UCf is more than a place to learn.

it’s a place to live. Living on campus

provides you easy access to the Student Union,

the Library and advising services. You can

also get fit at the on-campus Recreation and

Wellness Center.

ll on-campus communities have Resident Assistants (RAs) who

help you make the most of your experience at UCF. From campus

resources and day-to-day life to events and conflicts, your RA

will help you with every facet of life at UCF. They take the time to get

to know each of their residents and help create connections within the

UCF community.

We’re Here For YoUSince I’ve been at UCF for a few years, I can share my mistakes and, hopefully,

my residents can learn from those stories. I communicate those life lessons through

one-on-one communication, bulletin boards and educational programming.

MARGAUx RInG Interpersonal/Organizational Communication

I like to be the RA that knows or finds the answers to the questions that my

residents have. I like to be a resource and I love to be that comfort when students are missing home. I like to make my floor their

home away from home. I appreciate the opportunity to be a friend and mentor.

The Towers feature single bedrooms with full-size beds and kitchens with dishwashers.

If you want your own room, the Towers are your best place to live on the UCF campus.

These residence halls are a mixed community of first-year and upper-level students.

The Towers are close to our retail shops, the UCF Arena and Bright House networks

Stadium. It’s just a short walk to see the Knights in action, attend concerts and grab the

latest bestseller from the Barnes & noble bookstore.

If you’re hungry, that’s right around the corner too. Places to grab a bite range from

popular chain restaurants like Chick-fil-A® and Jimmy John’s® to campus exclusives such

as Knightro’s and the Marketplace dining halls.

The Towers at Knights Plaza require an 11.5-month agreement. each

agreement begins in the fall and goes through the summer. Apply

early—The Towers are one of the most popular places to live on

campus and apartments go quickly.

The Rosen campus provides you with a home in the heart of Orlando’s world-

famous tourism industry—you can work, live and play near some of the best

attractions, theme parks and hotels in the world. All while you form lifelong

friendships with people who share your passion for hospitality.

not interested in hospitality? you don’t have to be a hospitality management

major to live in the Rosen College Apartments. Anyone can apply to live on the

Rosen campus.

Apartments on the Rosen campus provide the feel of a small college—but you

still get the resources a large university provides. you can also live in the middle

of all the action, on and off campus.

Rosen College Apartments offer fully furnished 4-bedroom/2-bathroom

and 2-bedroom/1-bathroom floorplans, each with a bed, desk, chair,

dresser and closet space. each apartment features a full kitchen with

a dishwasher and microwave, as well as a furnished living room with a

couch, two chairs and bar stools. you can also take advantage of Florida’s

sunny weather and soak up some rays at the resort-style heated pool.

Space is limited. Apply as soon as you are admitted to secure

your apartment.

UCF partners with two privately owned and operated student apartment

communities—The Pointe at Central and Knights Circle. All apartments are

fully furnished and have a kitchen, a washer and dryer, and full-size beds.

While some space is shared, leases are individual.

The rent includes utilities, and these communities accept Florida Prepaid

College Plans and financial aid deferments. Other benefits include:

Gated entry

UCF Police Department officers on duty

Free transportation to and from the main campus

Housing in these two communities is right for any UCF student looking for a

single room, and they are an excellent option for students when on-campus

housing is full.

HOUSING APPLICATION PROCESS

Preference is given to first-year students on the

Orlando campus. Transfer student and graduate

student housing is very limited on the Orlando campus.

All classifications of students may apply for the

housing located at the Rosen College of Hospitality

Management. Married and family housing is not

available on campus.

After admission to the university, students are eligible

to apply for on-campus housing through myUCF.

No student is guaranteed housing on campus,

so everyone is encouraged to apply early. There is

not enough on-campus housing for every first-year

student who applies. Housing application procedures,

including detailed instructions, are available at

housing.ucf.edu. A prepayment is required for the

housing agreement to be accepted.

Students will be able to view their housing status using

the myUCF portal. Students who receive a housing

confirmation date will have a space reserved for them.

Room and roommate preferences can be submitted

online at myUCF.

Room, roommate and move-in information will be

available online. no information is sent to the student

through the mail. It is very important to make sure

that you keep a valid email address in myUCF and add

[email protected] to your personal email address book

to prevent housing communication from being placed

in your spam or junk folder.

Housing agreements will be canceled and any

prepayment forfeited if the admissions enrollment

deposit is not paid by the established deadlines. It

is important to notify Housing and Residence life in

writing if you no longer need on-campus housing once

you submit an online agreement.

are first-year students guaranteed housing at UCf?no, students are not guaranteed housing at UCF. There are more students

who request housing than can be accommodated on the Orlando campus,

so apply for housing as soon as you are admitted. Many students who do

not get on-campus housing live in affiliated housing.

What is the difference between an 11.5-month agreement and a fall/spring or academic year agreement?you make this choice when you apply for housing. The Towers at Knights

Plaza is the only 11.5-month agreement community on the Orlando main

campus, which does not close during break periods. Students who live at

The Towers are given a single room.

Fall/spring agreement communities will close during semester breaks,

but students may keep their belongings in the room. The fall/spring

agreement communities include Apollo, libra, nike, Hercules and lake

Claire. Most of these communities have shared bedrooms with single

rooms available for first-year students who apply very early to housing.

The Rosen College Apartments are also a fall/spring agreement

community, but feature all single rooms and are open during

break periods. Summer housing is also available at the Rosen

College Apartments.

Where can i get more information on housing rates and options?Up-to-date housing information is available at housing.ucf.edu.

Rates are subject to change.

What housing options are available for upper-level students?Housing on the Orlando campus is limited for upper-level students.

There is plenty of student housing available in UCF-Affiliated Housing

or other student apartment complexes located in close proximity to

the main campus.

Can i bring my car to campus? It’s not necessary to have a car at UCF, but parking is available for

students living on campus. A shuttle system is available and serves the

on-campus and off-campus apartment complexes. Parking information

is available at parking.ucf.edu.

are housing tours available?A residence hall room is available for tours at noon and 4 p.m., and an

apartment at The Towers is available at 1 p.m. Tours are Monday–Friday,

except on holidays. Several rooms are available during Undergraduate

Admissions Open Houses and during first-year student orientation.

Tours in Spanish are available upon request.

You have qUeSTionS. We have anSWerS.
