Public Relations is the profession or practice of creating and
maintaining goodwill of an organizations various
involvement( customers, employees, investors, suppliers) usually
through publicity or other non paid forms of advertisements.

DIFFERENCES Advertising is means o communications using
mostly paid media such as television, print,
radio ,or internet campaigns. Mission
branding & product information is provided.
Public Relations is used to convey a positive
message or image to a target audience and the
community. Examples include press release,
public speaking, and community involvement.
Marketing methods used directly to
effectively develop, communicate, sell, and
deliver a product or service. Research is first
followed by budgeting and finally executiion.

SIMILARITES PR, Marketing, and Advertising are similar
in many ways. All three concepts are used
by both small and large businesses with
goals of getting their target audience
involved. All of these concepts are also
used to generate sales and increase overall
brand awareness.

FUNCTIONS, EXAMPLES, TACTICS Public Relations: These efforts may include
support of arts, charitable causes, sporting events,
or other civic engagements. Many large companies
have a public relations department to ensure that
the company doesn't have any scandals and looks
positive in the eye
Advertising:: These efforts when aired on radio/
television is called a commercial. Public notices
designed to change and motivate. The function is
to change the thinking behavior (buying pattern).
Marketing:: “The 4 P’s” Product, Price, Placement,
Promotion.. Apple products are priced based on
user needs for storage. They are placed for debut
at speical tech events to promote the product.
