DAY 4 - JERUSALEM: THE NEW CITYJerusalem, sacJerusalem, sacred center of three major religions, has an utterly captivating atmosphere. Start with the spectacular panoramic view of Jerusalem at Mt Scopus. Move on to the Garden of Gethsemane to see the Church of Agony. Visit the Israel Museum to see a beautifully renovated model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem, and the Shrine of the Book, which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Next is Yad Vashem, the memorial to the six million Jews who were killed in the Holocaust. In the afternoon, visit the Hadassah medical center’s synagogue. DAY 5 – JERUSALEM: THE OLD CITY AND BETHLEHEM*Walk through one of the gates to tour of the walled Old City, which is divided into four quarters, Christian, Jewish, Armenian and Muslim quarters. Stroll through its winding streets filled with exotic aromas and colorful bazaars. See the restored Jewish Quarter, the Wailing Wall, the Temple Mount area, and walk along Via Dolorosa through the Stations of the Cross ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, housing the traditional site of Crucifixion and the Tomb of the Resurrection. Then, at Mt Zion, visit the tomb of King David, the Room of the Last Supper, and Dormition Abbey.
