How does the enrollment process for classroom training work?
• Use the online enrollment form located as a link from the Classroom Training Catalog screen on www.nationalboard.org.
• Use the assigned training coupon code as payment. This is the same coupon used for online training payments.

Capped at TWO complimentary tuitions per class.
Seats cannot be held without a student name.
Enrollments must be submitted using an enrollment form.
Students must bring their own code books.
Endorsement courses have prerequisites to be met prior to enrolling.

What is the JIT Program and how does it work
• Program administered by the office of the executive director.
• Designed to assist jurisdictions in the cost of training their eligible employees wishing to
become inservice inspectors.
• Qualifying students will receive reimbursement for not only tuition, but for their related
travel expenses (airfare, baggage fees, and hotel) while attending the Inservice Inspector
Commission Course.
• Up to two inspector candidates from each jurisdiction per calendar year
may apply to attend through this program.

Jurisdictional Inspector Training Program (JIT)

JIT Candidates must be an active jurisdictional employee, recommended by the National Board
Member, and meet the education and experience requirements of RCI-1.
Areas of note regarding the application:
• Sign the application. Both the student/candidate and the NB Member must sign the application once each
have completed their respective parts. Application must be typed within the downloadable PDF – handwritten
applications will be returned.
• Include all the requested documents. Include education certificates or diplomas; training certificates; or
any documentation related to a candidate’s experience.
• Provide details. Include as much detail as possible in the Job Responsibilities box under the Experience
section of the application.
• Submit as soon as possible. JIT Seats are limited in each of the Inservice classes. Applications are processed
on a first come, first served basis and depend upon the application being complete. JIT seats will not be reserved
until Training receives the completed and approved application.
