Launching of TPS + 1 SENSEI sub group of TPS Principles and Practice in LinkedIn
Started on 18th August 2013
DRAFTThe concepts and roles of TPS +1 SENSEI
Concept: TPS +1 is the forward looking concept that includes all vertical
and horizontal development of TPS basing on the view that TPS is a dynamic
thinking that has been developed further than Toyota and the stage of TPS
continues to taking newer forms that can only be described by TPS=TPS+1, similar to the programming language of i=i+1. And also, there are always activities and developments parallel to the current product generation N, the engineers, finance planners, strategic planners are always working on the N+1 development. The value of this N+1 work will eventually become N in the Gemba.
Mr Taiichi Ohno said, “Toyota Production System can be applied in any situation.”
This vision of applying TPS beyond car manufacturing is also included in the +1 consideration.
