How do we build the program?

Structure County Wide Program to create Tourism Development District

(TDD)

Each city and county will have the ability to allocate up to 150 acres

in their TDD

Total of 600 designated acres within Wilson County of the 373,120 acres

that comprise Wilson County (.161 percent)

Each TDD can be a combination of up to 5 locations with a minimum

of 10 acres per location

The TDD will capture

New property tax dollars generated in that specific zone



A single hotel can make an impact!

1 Hotel per City

Newly built hotel located within the TDD

County commits Hotel/Motel Tax revenue to the program

City commits Hotel/Motel Tax revenue to the program

Hotel designation is permanent

Change in designation of hotel if designated hotel closes for business

or unable to operate due to a natural disaster

A one time hotel designation change can happen during the life of the

program
