Energy is a basic necessity for the economic and technological development of any nation. Being a national of a

third world country where energy demand is much greater than the supply, I can really understand what the lack of

energy has cost my country, Nigeria.

Participating in the Total Energy ummer chool will provide an avenue to learn more about comple! andcontemporary solutions to problems relating to energy deficiency. This goal was born out of my desire to contribute

to the technological development of my country, in particular, and the world at large by applying advanced concept

I hope to learn during the summer school. I also hope to meet students and teachers from other schools to learn and

share ideas relating to solving energy problems during the summer school.

Being among the top "# students in my class

$ue to the circumstances of my entering the university I started as one of the worst students in my class being

among the last five students. I started out with a %&P' of ".() on a scale of *.## and had to work my way to the top

I believe that with hard work you can achieve anything you want. I believe in improvement and this has helped me

lot as I have painstakingly taken time to work on my weaknesses and rely on my strengths to improve my standing

academically and non+academically.
