March is the month that we start to get a lile excited for spring to ar- rive. We’ll start to see the signs as tulips and other bulb flowers slowly start emerging. The days are a lile warmer and the nights milder. We’re hopeful that the extreme cold temperatures and snow are behind us. However, if you’ve lived in Nebraska for at least 30 minutes, you know that more than likely we will have at least one more bout of cold, if not some snow! March is not usually all sunshine and rain- bows, but March does make us hopeful. We’ll see if the old adage, “In like a lamb, out like a lion” will hold true this year. Don’t forget though, that its not too early to begin planning out those vegetable gardens and dreaming about abun- dant flower beds. On March 1st, also known as Statehood Day, Nebraska began it’s 151st year as a state. Nebraska was officially named a state when President Andrew Johnson signed the nec- essary paperwork on March 1, 1867 declaring that Ne- braska was now a state in the union. Another important me this month is Naonal Agricul- ture Week, March 18-24th. This is the me when we should honor all ag producers for the tremendous job they do in feeding the world. Each American farmer feeds more than 165 people ... a dra- mac increase from 25 peo- ple in the 1960s. Quite simp- ly, American agriculture is doing more - and doing it beer. As the world popula- on soars, there is an even greater demand for the food and fiber produced in the United States. Agriculture is America's #1 export and new technology means farmers are more environmentally friendly than ever before. Saturday, March 17th

March comes in like a lamb Somehow the months of Jan-uary and February slipped away and we are already into March. March is the month

that we start to get a little excited for spring to ar-rive. We’ll start to see the signs as

tulips and other bulb flowers slowly start emerging. The days are a little warmer and the nights milder. We’re hopeful that the extreme cold temperatures and snow are behind us. However, if you’ve lived in Nebraska for at least 30 minutes, you know that more than likely we will have at least one more bout of cold, if not some snow! March is not usually all sunshine and rain-bows, but March does make us hopeful. We’ll see if the old adage, “In like a lamb, out like a lion” will

hold true this year. Don’t forget though, that its not too early to begin planning out those vegetable gardens and dreaming about abun-dant flower beds. On March 1st, also known as Statehood Day, Nebraska began it’s 151st year as a

state. Nebraska was officially named a state when President Andrew Johnson signed the nec-

essary paperwork on March 1, 1867 declaring that Ne-braska was now a state in the union. Another important time this month is National Agricul-ture Week, March 18-24th. This is the time when we should honor all ag producers for the tremendous job they do in feeding the world. Each American farmer feeds more

than 165 people ... a dra-matic increase from 25 peo-ple in the 1960s. Quite simp-ly, American agriculture is doing more - and doing it better. As the world popula-

Tri Valley Health System has received reports that scam calls are being made appearing

through caller ID to be a Tri Valley Health System phone number. According to the reports these scammers represent

themselves as Tri Valley Health System employees. They are attempting to receive credit card numbers no matter if you are or are not a Tri Valley Health System patient.

They are threatening to send the account to collections if they don't receive payment right away.

It is important to know that Tri Valley Health System will never make a call to demand payment over the phone. We encourage the public to remain vigilant and protect

their personal information over the phone. We also want to remind the public that it is still safe to call into

Tri Valley Health System at 308-697-3329. Tri Valley Health System takes this matter seriously and we have notified law enforcement. Should you have any

questions about your account at Tri Valley Health System, please call (308) 697-3329. If you believe that

you may have been a victim of the telephone scam you may report that information to the Furnas County

Sheriff's office at (308) 268-2245.
