LIFESTYLE :

You must eat fruits and vegetables.

They have vitamins, minerals and fibre

that protect you. Fruits and vegetables

with diferente colours tend to have diffe-

rent levels of important nutrients ( potas-

sium and vitamins A and C ).

To become or stay healthy, our

body needs good nutrition, and

time and energy to process it

and use it in their metabolism.

Good nutrition provides the body

with nutrients to produce or

repair tissue, maintain healthy

immune system and allows the

body to perform daily tasks with

ease.

TIPS FOR A HEALTHY

LIFE:

1. Say no to sweets. Replace with

dried fruit and bananas, but

avoid sweets and chocolate.

2. Avoid drinking alcohol.

3. Avoid fatty foods. Do not eat

more than 30 grams of fat per

day.

4. Eliminate the butter, margari-

ne and mayonnaise in your diet.

Use mustard instead of mayon-

naise, instead of butter use

cheese or yogurt, both are low in

fat and calories.

Take a Daily Walk We all know about the advantages of

physical activity, but most of us have

neither time, nor desire to exercise.

Use the stairs as often as possible ins-

tead of the elevator, take a walk with

your friends, walk your dog a bit lon-

ger, than usually – use any possibility

to be more physically active. Resear-

chers say, that people only need to

walk up to 12 miles per week or for

about 125 to 200 minutes per week to

improve their he-

art health.

Don’t Smoke

A cigarette smoked once in a while

isn’t a decisional factor in suppressing

your immune system but smoking re-

gularly makes your body weaker

when confronting with

infections in general and

seasonal diseases in parti-

cular.

Sleep

Enough.

Lack of sleep makes you feel tired

and angry, you can’t concentrate your

attention. Lack of sleep can damage

your physical health as well. Some

studies have shown that 8 hours of

sleep per 24-hour period is the avera-

ge requirement for adults. But all pe-

ople are different and the need for

sleep can range from 6 to 10 hours.

Drink water in the morning.

Wake up in the morning and drink one

glass of water. Water helps to clear our

system, help the metabolism rate and

flush out the toxins.

Eat Breakfast.

Breakfast is the most important meal

of the day. It’s the meal that gives

you the energy to your day.

Have a hobby

Pick up a new activity involving the who-

le family and friends such as hiking, group

sports, skiing or riding a bicycle. Finding

a hobby can give you the enjoyment and

reduce stress.

Eat healthy

Eat a variety of fruits, vegetables,

and whole grains every day. Limit

foods and drinks high in calories, su-

gar, salt, fat, and alcohol. Eat a ba-

lanced diet to help. keep a healthy

weight.

Get check-ups Ask your doctor or nurse how you

can lower your risk for health pro-

blems. Find out what exams, tests,

and shots you need and when to get

them. See your doctor or nurse for

regular check-ups and as often as di-

rected. Get seen if you feel sick, have

pain, notice changes, or have pro-

blems with medicine.
