THE TIMELINE TO TODAY!!!• 1000 B.C. ~ the first settlers arrived on Palatine Hill.

• 753 – 509 B.C. ~ according to legend, Rome was founded in 753 B.C. Romulus was Rome’s first king.

• 509 B.C. ~ Rule by kings ended and the Roman Republic was formed. Two Consuls were approved by the people and serve for two years only, there the first political era was created.

• 390 B.C. ~ the Barbarian Gaul's attack Rome.

• 378 B.C. ~ A wall called the Le Mez was built around Rome that separated the conquered and the unconquered land and cleverly stole a part of the unconquered lands forest using that rough terrain as reinforcement ground.

• 334 – 264 B.C. ~ Rome fights her neighbours in Italy and wins control of all of the country south of the River Po.

TIMELINE TO TODAY312 B.C.~ The Aqua Appia, Rome’s first aqueduct was built and via the Appia the first significant road was built.

218 – 202 ~ An army from North Africa invades Italy and the Romans defeat Hannibul the African General at the battle of Zama

73 – 71 B.C. ~ A slaves revolt in southern Italy led by Spartacus threatens Rome. They are subdued and Spartacus is thrown to the mercy of a lion but the other slaves, as they are expensive to replace, are beaten and set to work in chains.

47 – 44 B.C. ~ in 47 B.C. Julius Caesar declared his dictatorship to Rome for 10 years but was murdered after his 3rd year.

27 B.C. ~ Octavian Augustus after avenging the death of his uncle Caesar was persuaded into becoming Rome's new ruler and seeing that a dictatorship would not work any better than a council dusk came for the Roman Republic while dawn was just rising for the Roman Empire.

C. 6 B.C. ~ Jesus Christ was born in Judea

TIMELINE TO TODAY• A.D 64 ~ A huge fire demolished most of Rome and the Emperor at the time, Nero, had

the Christians thrown in the Colosseum for setting alight Rome. Though many believed that Nero himself had put the flames on their beautiful city.

• A.D. 79 ~ Vesuvius erupts, eradicating Pompeii and other cities to be lost forever under the volcanos fiery wrath.

• A.D. 80 ~ The Colosseum opened and in its honour the Emperor throws in all the animals and all the slaves in a bloody and gruesome battle.

• A.D. 112 – 113 ~ Trajan's Forum and Trajan's Column are opened in Rome.

• A.D. 117 ~ Emperor Trajan dies

• A.D. 118 ~ Constantine is appointed Emperor.

• A.D. 165 – 167 ~ Plague spreads through the Empire.

• A.D. 212 – 216 ~ Baths of Caracalla are built in Rome.

TIMELINE TO TODAY• A.D. 313 ~ Constantine allows Christians to practise their religion openly.

• A.D. 324 ~ The city of Constantinople was founded by Emperor Constantine

• A.D. 395 ~ The Empire was divided into two parts. The West was ruled from Rome and the East was ruled from Constantinople.

• A.D. 410 ~ Barbarians sack Rome and the empire starts to collapse.

• A.D. 455 ~ Barbarian ransack Rome and Vandalise the significant structures.

• A.D. 476 ~ Western Europe capture Rome and The west counterpart of the once great city ends.

• A.D. 1453 ~ Constantinople falls to the Turks.

• A.D. 1453 ~ The once great city that almost conquered the world fell and Rome was split between two different countries neither country respecting the significance of the ancient structures and so the greatest secrets of the world are lost from the grasp of a foolish mans Hand
