TRUSTING GOD WHEN YOU ARE THREATENED

7:1 “When Ahaz ….. was king of Judah, King Rezin of Aram and Pekah…. king of Israel marched up to fight against Jerusalem, but they could not overpower it”

TRUSTING GOD WHEN YOU ARE THREATENED

Fear can force us to make rash decisions

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight” (Prov. 3:5-6).

• Doubt will rob us of God’s plan to rescue us.

TRUST GOD WHEN YOU ARE AFRAID

IS. 7:3-4 “Then the LORD said to Isaiah, ‘Go out, ……to meet Ahaz ……. Say to him, ‘Be careful, keep calm and don’t be afraid. Do not lose heart because of these two smoldering stubs of firewood…”TM “listen, calm down, don’t be afraid and don’t panic”

7:7-9 “It will not take place, it will not happen, …… Within sixty-five years Ephraim (Israel) will be too shattered to be a people.”

Often we are afraid of things that will never happen.

Gen 12:1 “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you” HEB. 11:8 “by faith Abraham…obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going”

MEET GOD AT A PLACE OF TRUST Trusting God will benefit us beyond what we can imagine.

Heb 11:6 “Without faith it is impossible to please God”

Is 7:9 TM “If you don’t take your stand in faith, you won’t have a leg to stand on”
