Objectives Define your role in time management and priority setting at work Manage your personal interrupters and time stealers Brainstorm how to plan and prioritize your workload Overcome the habit of procrastination Practice making a request and handle hearing no! Define assertiveness language and behaviors. Time Management Steps A leader is a manager, but not every manager is a leader: Invest the original time to get organized – plan your day Schedule organizing time plan your day Stay current enter & update information on your computer daily Set goals and priorities plan your day Accomplish most important tasks first Read goals everyday And remember… plan your day Understand who and what demands your time and how to change this. Start to address this by asking yourself at the top of every hour, “What is the best use of my time right now?” Time Bandits: Anything that decreases your productivity and effectiveness or causes you to shift focus away from your #1 priority.
