CHICKSKeith Fordham Come along to this session to find out more about the national charity CHICKS, which provides free respite breaks for disadvantaged children from across the UK. The children CHICKS support come from a variety of backgrounds - those living in poverty, children that are abused, either mentally, physically or sexually, children who have lost parents or even children who are full-time carers.

Keith will explain how you can get involved with CHICKS through volunteering at a local camp and will share with you his involvement in this fantastic charity.

Higher Education Information Sessions Are you a level three student thinking about higher education as the next step? Would you like to know more about the College’s Foundation Degree programmes? We offer a wide range of courses and there really is something for everyone. This workshop will enable you to go through the formal interview process but will also allow you the opportunity to talk to your ‘interviewer’ about where you shone and areas which might need improvement.

You do not have to be studying the topic to attend, just have an interest in what the speaker may have to say. Some of the speakers may have run their own businesses and others have many years of knowledge to pass on to you.

Estate AgencyAndrew Blacklock, Managing Director with Maitlands Estate Agents, will be talking about working within this exciting industry. Andrew will talk about his journey and spell out the highs and lows of the job. Andrew will also share what he looks for when recruiting new team members and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

MarketingWould you like to hear what it is like to work in marketing? Interested in hearing how products, goods and services can be taken to market? Want to know about the importance of demographics, segmentation and targeting your message in order to reach your intended audience?

This session being run by Sharron Robbie, Corporate Relations Manager at the College, will give you an overview of the exciting and challenging role of the marketeer in the current economic climate.



Food and Technology! Come along to this fascinating talk from part-time College lecturer and forager David Beazley who has just seen his Forager’s Apprentice App become the biggest selling food app in the UK!

David has been a forager for the past 34 years and will be talking about how he recorded his hobby in a self-published book, The Forager’s Apprentice, which led to the development and success of his global mobile phone app.
