Because I want to find out…
If personalized ‘therapeutic-product’ design is a more effective way of triggering memories forgotten as well as strengthening the memory concerning day to day routines.

In order to…
Allow family members of the Alzheimer patient to feel more involved in the memory regrowth process. Allow the Alzheimer patient to become familiar with forgotten family members and traditions, while strengthening memory encoding, storage and retrieval techniques.

Hypothesis…
This thesis presents the hypothesis that pure human presence is beneficial in aiding Alzheimer disease patients. In contrast to medicinal and therapeutic alternatives, which require mass amounts of money, simple human presence provokes a more emotional and positive outcome. Such a hypothesis would be a cost effective solution to a happier patient.

Comfort Care
Comfort care, also known as palliative care, focuses on relieving pain and other distressing symptoms including agitation, anxiety, poor appetite, loneliness, and boredom. Although a cure for dementia has not been discovered, you should never expect to hear the words, “there is nothing more we can do.”
