Speech Contest Rules:• 1. Each contestant picks one unchangeable topic and has 20 minutes to prepare it;• 2. Contestants are not allowed to cooperate or use any sources of information during the preparation

stage;• 3. Each speech will be delivered following the order of the initial topic numbering.• 4. Each contestant has to introduce himself/herself before delivering his/her speech in front of the

audience.• 5. Speeches will be 3-5 minutes long for 7th/8th graders and 5-7 minutes long for high school students.• 6. The 5 jury members will evaluate speeches as follows:• - CONTENT (completion of task, organization and cohesiveness) – 20 p• - VOCABULARY AND GRAMMAR – 20 p• - FLUENCY AND PRONUNCIATION – 20 p• - NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION – 20 p• - ORIGINALITY AND PERSUASION – 20 p• 7. The members of the jury will not mark the speeches of their own students.• 8. The winners for both levels will be announced on the day of the competition.

17. The man, not the woman should be the leader in the home.

18. Television has a positive impact on our

lives.

19. All students should be given the opportunity

to go to university.

20. We are what we eat.
