InstallationThe Ultra-Urban® Filter is easily installed. A single mounting bracket is required for the installation of the Curb Opening (CO) series. The Drain Inlet (DI) series Ultra-Urban® Filter will suspend into the catch basin through a structural collar and funnel mechanism.
Maintenance The Ultra-Urban® Filter should be serviced as needed to remove sediment and debris. The sediment and debris can be quickly vacuumed with conventional maintenance equipment. For example, CO’s with four to five Ultra-Urban® Filter modules can be serviced in 10 minutes. DI’s can be serviced in 5 minutes. Under normal operating conditions the Ultra-Urban® Filter should be replaced every 1-3 years.
DisposalAbTech’s Smart Sponge® technology transforms liquid hydrocarbons into a permanent, stable solid. The handling and disposal of this solid waste is less expensive and less problematic than that of other plastic and absorbent products which leach and leak hydrocarbons back into the environment. The following waste disposal and resource recovery industries will accept spent Ultra-Urban® Filters for disposal and/or recycling(confirm local regulations).*Waste to Energy Facility*Cement Kilns*Landfill
