A “crooner” is a name to define those legendary men who sang standard jazz with the professional task of facing the most important challenge in the universe.

Javier Botella built his future as a “crooner” for several years, while being dedicated to other trades related to good manners.

I watched performances of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat king Cole, tony Bennett… and whispered to myself many times; “I will sing for them someday”. From then on, I ran around Spain for more than five years, singing at selective scenarios, concert halls, touring and even on small corners.

Javier Botella, has always rioted with high ranked musicians and has been devoted to the swing, in company with double basses, pianists, drums, saxophones, trombones and trumpets. Leaving other worlds behind, gave him free reign to reach the goal he always wanted: to be a Spanish crooner.

Javier Botella is elegant wherever he is required. He starts out with the “swing” and adapts to different music styles any night, as if it were about to be the most transcendent night, of his life.

Now, with his new work, “All the way”, he offers the most Latin version, surrounded by string instruments and performing boleros, legendary songs from the Spanish language. The evolution of a “crooner”.

A night that recovers the soul of an era with great classics of Sinatra, Nat King Cole or Dean Martin along with original songs, accompanied by several great artists (like Gonzalo Alcaín, Mike Martín or Miguel Ángel Escrivá) on tours that have already taken us to Valencia (Rambleta), Madrid (Joy Eslava) and Barcelona (El Molino). I’m Javier Botella and I’ve come to my own path. My life has emerged with my music. Javier Botella Quintet with Strings was born, a performance where I take viewers to my childhood, my youth, and my life. The artist in his most nude and sincere version. A musical confluence of all tours, with a repertoire in Castilian accompanying those artists, those songs and those moments in my life when I felt smaller, fragile and vulnerable; this is my own soundtrack”.

“The most personal way. The genesis of art, painting, literature, interpretation, of course music is illuminated by the legacy of those great artists who preceded us, trying to acquire their stroke, the gift of their prose, the swing of their chords. During the whole process of learning lessons from life, a voice emerged on its own. Not only was a new path found but artistic emancipation began which gave teachers more respect and artist the inspiration to create something new. Be yourself, transcend, and confuse life with art, art with life to reach the ultimate consequences. Search for your own voice, which comes with time as a result of trial and error and technique; the personal touch.
