To my own brave s ister Ana a nd my genius brother Diego, w ho wi l l soon be 8 years a nd 39 days o ld .

My name is Zaza and I am 8 years and 39 days old. I have a secret, but I will not tell it to you. From now on, I will write ( s h h h ) instead of "secret", because it is a secret. I love ( s h h h ) .

My ( s h h h ) is my best friend.My ( s h h h ) sleeps on the top shelf of my closet. My ( s h h h ) and I, we play marbles together in my grandma's patio.

My sister Ana is 10 years old, she is the smartest and she doesn't like grown ups. My sister Ana also has a ( s h h h ) . She told me that ( s h h h ) are important and that it is good to know when to keep them and when to share them. She says that if my ( s h h h ) is angry or hungry, I should share it with someone who I trust, like her. But I should be careful not to give other people's ( s h h h ) away without their permission. She says that, if I don't know what to do, I can tell her and we can decide together.

I am already in my bed when my sister Ana runs under my blanket with a scared look on her face. She holds me tight and whispers in my ear: - "I went to the washroom and I heard someone in the kitchen."- "Who?" I say. I am very scared because Ana is scared and she's always very brave. - "I took off my slippers and I went to see. My heart was racing poom poom poom. The door was ajar, and I saw them!". - "Who?" I ask again.- "Mama Carla and her ( s h h h ) . They were arguing, but i couldn't understand what they were saying. Mama Carla looked tired and sad, and the ( s h h h ) was so hungry."

My sister Ana stops talking. She puts her hands over my shoulders, and very slowly, she says. "The ( s h h h ) was eating mama's head."

We decide to go to the kitchen together. Oh no! It's true the ( s h h h ) is eating mama's head!

What can you do when a ( s h h h ) is eating someone's head?

We don't know. We decide to go on our bikes looking for the witch's house and ask them.In my town there is a witch and they live in a red house. We don't know where it is, so we ride our bikes all around looking for it.Finally Ana screams "The red house!".

I am a little bit scared of witches, but Ana says witches are great because they can make magic potions and fly around and speak to cats. She says that only boring people don't like witches and that she wants to be a witch when she grows up.

The witch opens the door and invites us to come in and have some pineapple juice.With a big smile they say "I know why you are here, the ( s h h h ) is eating your mum's head". Ana says witches know many things because they can read the wind and are friends with all the animals and plants.

"I am going to show you how to make something for your mum" The witch says. "You have to make a big big cake" "In it, you put 5 purple rosemary flowers, a spoonful of good memories powder and 13 tears of loneliness. Loneliness tears are a little bit bitter, but bitterness is necessary for some medicines and tears are not always bad. You can add some honey if you want. Then you cut a paper in little pieces and mix it all up with a yellow pencil. You bake it for 23 minutes and 14 seconds and give it to your mum in the morning". The witch looks at us and says " this works better if you cook it with a smile".This witch is so cool, I want to be a witch too.

At home, Ana and I, we put everything in a bowl: the tears of loneliness, the paper, the good memories powder, the purple rosemary flowers and we mix it all with a yellow pencil. We also add a lot of sugar, because Mama Carla likes sweet cakes and she seems very sad with the ( s h h h ) eating her head.

Mama Carla eats a piece of cake and asks to be alone. We are listening outside her bedroom door.

We hear her cry a little bit, and then write and write, and then sing a sweet song. When she comes out, she's smiling. The ( s h h h ) is no longer eating her head and she looks happy and relax.

Tonight, we all have dinner together, Mama Lola, Mama Carla, Ana, me and our ( s h h h ) . We tell mama and mama how we made the cake. Now, the four of us want to be witches. Because witches are so cool.
