WHAT IS NHP PUBLISHING?In early 2013, the New Heroes & Pioneers publishing house – based in Malmö, Sweden – was little more than the kernel of an idea in our minds. Our plan was to develop and publish a range of coffee table books containing a smart, interesting and eclectic mixture of art, culture and fashion.

What made this concept unique, was that we were, right from the beginning, dedicated to being a vehicle for discovering and pro-moting new and unknown artists whose singular styles and per-spectives make them stand out. The concepts of ‘making human connections’ and ‘giving back’ were woven into the fabric of the corporate culture and have become a clear and conscious part of every project since the company’s inception.

ABOUT NORDIC BAKERYNordic Bakery is a Scandinavian style premium coffee shop loved for its Nordic cinnamon buns, coffee and dark rye bread. Golden Square in Lon-don’s Soho is Nordic Bakery’s flagship café, open-ing in 2007. Other coffee shops can be found in the Marylebone and Chiltern Street area of Lon-don. New Cavendish Street opened in 2011 and Dorset Street opened in 2012. The ‘face’ be-hind the business is Miisa Mink, who comes from a successful career in branding and design but is also a passionate baker. In 2008 she left the cor-porate life and became a partner in Nordic Bakery.

AND MILLA KOIVISTOMilla Koivisto is a photographer, writer, filmmaker and artist with a focus on environmental issues. Her interests lies in the natural world and our connec-tions and relationship with it, with a particular inter-est in the remote parts of our planet. Milla gradu-ated from the Arts University of Bournemouth, UK with a degree in Visual Communication. She also studied classical flute and music theory in Finland.
