A NOTE FROM OUR
YOUTH COORDINATOR I am excited to come aboard the parish family as
your youth coordinator. I look forward to meeting
all of you and seeing what fun and exciting journeys
we can embark on together this year.
Some fun facts about me:
I love spending time with my family and
friends.
I am a people person and love to make new
friends. So do not be shy, if you see me at Mass or
around town, be sure to say hi.
I love to travel, especially pilgrimages. I
work for a company called Select International, so
you will see promotions from time to time in the
bulletin and around the churches. Previous pilgrim-
ages that I have gone on were to the Holy Land and
Italy. This year I will be going back to the Holy
land and Germany.
I have started as Youth Coordinator and am now
in the parish office, so feel free to reach out to me.
Watch for the Holy Family Youth Facebook page
coming soon! Thanks for making me a part of your
parish!

O God, I have prepared my house. Please come

vanity, so I may serve you with perfect humility
through the week ahead. TUESDAY, IRONING DAY

prejudice I have collected through the years so that I
may see the beauty in others. WEDNESDAY, MENDING DAY

bad example for others. THURSDAY, CLEANING DAY
Lord Jesus, help me to dust out all the many
faults I have been hiding in the secret corners of my
heart. FRIDAY, SHOPPING DAY

PADRE PIO’S PRAYER
AFTER HOLY COMMUNION Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have
You present so that I do not forget you. You know
how easily I abandon you.
Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak and I
need Your strength, that I may not fall so often.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my life, and
without You, I am without fervor.
Stay with me, Lord, for You are my light, and
without You, I am in darkness.
Stay with me, Lord, to show me Your will.
Stay with me, Lord, so that I hear Your voice and
follow You.
Stay with me, Lord, for I desire to love You very
much, and always be in Your company.
Stay with me, Lord, if You wish me to be faithful
to You.
Stay with me, Lord, for as poor as my soul is, I
wish it to be a place of consolation for You, a nest of
Love.
Stay with me, Jesus, for it is getting late and the
day is coming to a close, and life passes, death, judg-
ment, eternity approaches. It is necessary to renew
my strength, so that I will not stop along the way and
for that, I need You. It is getting late and death ap-
proaches. I fear the darkness, the temptations, the
dryness, the cross, the sorrows. O how I need You,
my Jesus, in this night of exile!
Stay with me tonight, Jesus, in life with all its
dangers, I need you.
Let me recognize You as Your disciples did at the
breaking of bread, so that the Eucharistic Commun-
ion be the light which disperses the darkness, the
force which sustains me, the unique joy of my heart.
Stay with me, Lord, because at the hour of my
death, I want to remain united to You, if not by Com-
munion, at least by grace and love.
Stay with Me, Jesus, I do not ask for divine con-
solation, because I do not merit it, but, the gift of
Your presence, O yes, I ask this of You!
Stay with me, Lord, for it is You alone I look
for—Your love, Your Grace, Your Will, Your Heart,
Your Spirit, because I love You and ask no other re-
ward but to love You more and more.
With a firm love, I will love You with all my
heart while on earth and continue to love You per-
fectly during all eternity. Amen.

SUMMERTIME
“Summertime and the living is
easy.” That’s what the favorite
old song says. The living may be
easy, but often the giving is
not. Summer collections often
drop significantly in our parish
because of vacation travel, sports
schedules and other activities that cause parishioners
to attend Mass in other parishes. If you would like to
make your giving easy and consistent this summer,
please consider our electronic giving option. Current-
ly, 60 parish families are using this simple and secure
way to make and track their parish giving.
If you would like to learn more, please contact
Anita at the parish office, 372-2127 or by email,
A VIGIL LIGHT IS A PRAYER Many have come to appreciate today the ancient
tradition of showing honor to God and devotion to
Mary, the angels and saints by requesting the light-
ing of a vigil candle.
The light, a symbol of our hope and desires and
the heavenly brightness, reflects our belief in the
power of prayer which
can take so many
forms.
The lighted candle
silently speaks for us
when words fail to
express the full reality
of our intentions. It
makes visible our petitions and thanksgiving for fa-
vors received or sought.
May your lighted candle be a prayer, like incense
rising to our Heavenly Father. May the warmth of
the unspoken prayer of your vigil light bring you
peace and consolation!

CRUSADER’S
CORNER
HOST FAMILIES We are looking for Host Families for Interna-
tional Students that have been accepted to attend
HTC in the 2018-2019 school year!
As a Host Family, you will receive a monthly
stipend to help cover the expenses of having a stu-
dent in your home. Host Families are made up of
many different types, married couples, single par-
ents, persons with kids in school, empty nesters.
This is a great way to become involved in HTC if
you are not already or to continue on if your chil-
dren may have graduated and gone off to college.
We are currently looking to place a 13-year old
male student from China who will be entering the
9th grade. He describes himself as independent,
outgoing, warm-hearted and optimistic. He wants
to experience the American Culture and American
Studies. He plans to join in extracurricular activi-
ties so he can become part of the group and meet
new friends. His interests are basketball, jogging
and skiing. He also loves to play the drums in his
school band. We are in need of a home that does
not have indoor dogs or cats. Outside pets are fi-
ne.
Students arrive approximately one week prior
to the start of the school year and leave within 5
days of the end of the school year.
If you are at all interested in becoming a host
family or know of someone and would like more
information, please contact myself Cheryl Brock,
at 319-931-4279 or email her at Cheryl-
[email protected]. I am the new International
Student Local Coordinator for the participating
Exchange Agencies HTC works with for this up-
coming school year.

mation & the calendar: www.holytrinityschools.org.
