In order to improve the employability skills of the students, the college offers a certificate course in Communicative English approved by Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and 8 Career Oriented Courses approved by UGC. The college is well equipped with the state-of-art infrastructural facilities like well built airy classrooms with modern amenities, computer labs, language laboratory, library, special journal section, physical fitness Centre with latest equipments etc. A team of well qualified and dedicated faculty offers quality education. Genesis of the Institution

STC, established in 1997, in the Golden Jubilee year of our independence, by V.S.V.Vidyaa Mandir, a charitable trust, has completed its, 16th year. The trust, recognizing the need for higher education, among the rural youth set-up the college with a determined vision to provide collegiate education to the rural students hailing from various villages in and around Pollachi. The College obtained affiliation from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and commenced its educational journey on the auspicious day of Vijayadasami in the year 1997 and has crossed several milestones till date. The men’s hostel was started in the year 2006 - 07.

It is the first institution in the Pollachi Educational District to obtain the coveted ISO 9001:2008 Certification from the International Standards Organisation.

The college got NAAC re-accreditation with “A” grade, as recognition for quality of education and academic achievement. STC has been granted Autonomous status by the UGC in 2008-2009. The college has been adjudged as the second best college amongst the affiliated colleges of Bharathiar University.

STC is the first institution to offer AICTE approved MBA programme in the Pollachi Education District Eleven (11) batches of students have successfully passed out and are well-placed in jobs. Due to popular demand for MBA at STC the intake was increased to 120 in 2009-10.

The social purpose of MBA at STC is to create capable human resource for the industry from amongst the youth of the rural society for which one needs to develop professional skills in the youth beyond the syllabus. Above all, a resource is human if only that resource is the right combination of KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM and COMPASSION. It is at this level, that a LEADER evolves. The Pedagogy

In keeping with its social purpose, MBA @ STC admits students who meet the minimum criteria set by AICTE and the university, on first come first serve basis.

While students may have varying degrees of capability in academics, aptitude, attitude or communication, when they enter into the hallowed halls of MBA at STC, the management and the faculty takes up this challenge with a smile and commitment and ensures that they create in the aspirant managers a permanent appetite for hard work and urge for permanent learning with the bend of mind for ethics and social commitment; a true transformation of an ordinary talent in to a productive human resource.

MBA at STC offers an opportunity to students to enhance their inquisitiveness to learn and thereby give shape to their dreams to become successful professionals. It involves 60% teaching and 40% self-learning built on nearly 200 hours of expert training in soft skills.
