Inside This IssueMaryland Breakfast Meet
Where did the time go? April, May, and June were filled with events
and activities. The Michigan Chapter, coordinated by Chuck Gallop,
attempted their first meet with the Coldwater Car Show. The
Membership Secretary, Nicholas Wong, organized and attended
meets in CT and MA while PA and MD continued to host successful
junk yard runs and a new event, the barbecue! Armond Johnson and
The Lincoln Lunatics brought the Power Tour through theKeystone
State with a stop in the suburban town of Primos. Later, a forty-yard
dash to Harrisburg kept Armond on time and the Lincoln Lunatics
on track.
The National Lincoln Mark VII Club Meet was a huge success! Held
June 2-4, 2006 at the All Ford Nationals in Carlisle, Pennsylvania,
there were over twenty Mark VII's registered for the fun field
activities. Club Members filled five of the six winning positions.
Congratulations to EVERYONE that participated. Past, present, and
future owners of Mark VII's visited the 20 x 20 Headquarters Tent on
the fun field. Placement was GREAT (thanks to the Carlisle Staff)
with a hill top view of the fairgrounds. Participants and visitors
traveled from near and far for this event. Jeffrey Hine and Cliff
Alexander were able to cruise in from across the state. However,
Michael Topalian traveled 600 miles from Montreal, Quebec and
Mike Burrow and family made the 1700 mile drive from Dalhart,
Texas! Many people arrived as strangers but all left as new-found
friends of the Lincoln Mark VII Club Family.
The summer months look very promising with meets scheduled in
different states. Activities, such as Friday night cruises in Bellmore,
NY; Kissimmee, FL; and Philadelphia, PA are in the works along
with street car drag racing in Atco, NJ and Oldbridge Township, NJ
Raceways. September will bring cooler temperatures and kids
heading back to school. Our 2007 Membership drive and 2007
calendar sales will begin as will our winterization projects.
Preservation and maintenance,
John Dancy

First Mark VII Club Regional
Meet Held At The Ford NatsWhat's better than parking in the middle of a huge field
with the finest Fords all around you? Members of The
Lincoln Mark VII Club found the answer while attending
the 2006 Ford Nationals at Carlisle Fairgrounds the
weekend of June 2-4. By far, we had the absolute best
placement on the fun field, high atop the shale bank
looking down on all of the action! The folks at Carlisle
Productions really took care of us this year.
Better yet, The Club rented a huge 20x20 tent that served as st
the meeting place for the 1 Annual Lincoln Mark VII Club
Regional Meet. Not only did it shield us from the sun, it
served as a beacon for other Mark VII Enthusiasts to meet
The Club. (Continued on page 6)

Treasurer’s Report For June
Although there is a cruise route planned out for you, participants are not obligated to thfollow it. In fact, on Thursday, June 8 , quite a few of us broke off The Tour and high-
tailed it up to Primos, Pennsylvania to John Dancy's home for the most enjoyable
barbeque ever! Once all of the food and drinks were consumed, a few more enthusiasts
joined “The Lincoln Mafia” and drove The Tour!
The 2007 Power Tour is scheduled to occur the first week of June, the same time the
Ford Nats will be at Carlisle, Pennsylvania. Once again, I will try to conjure up a way
to do both! Both are great events because they are the best at what they do. On The
Power Tour, dead bugs on your front bumper, grill, and windshield are admired and
seen as a sign of accomplishment!

Hot Rod Power Tour 2006
Looking for something different than the typical car show scene? Tired of cleaning up your
ride, driving it to the show, cleaning it again, and sitting around waiting for trophies to be
awarded? If any of this sounds familiar, I have a solution for you!
Consider participating in the Hot Rod Power Tour. What is The Power Tour, you ask?
Simply put, it is the largest rolling car show, traffic jam, and cruise on the planet! Hot Rod
Magazine organizes it as best as they can, considering there are anywhere from 2000- 3000
cars cruising in the tour at any given time. And all along the cruise route are curious
onlookers offering thumbs up and enthusiastic waves!
I drove in The Power Tour this year from Salem, Virginia to Englishtown, New
Jersey. Along the way, I met up with some very cool Lincoln Enthusiasts and hung
out with many old friends. In addition, I received many thumbs-up, saw tons of
people take pictures of my car, heard many complements, and even had a nice lady
in the Town of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania walk out of her store and up to my car to
talk to me. And if that were not enough, winning some VERY cool door prizes and
receiving a free dinner at one of the venues topped off an already spectacular
experience.
The variety of rides participating in The Power Tour is as varied as the owners. Of
course there are the Chevy Camaros and Chevelles, the MOPARS, and Fords of
course. However, I did see a Rambler Marlin, and '32 Dodge, and of course, our
Lincolns. Also saw a highly modified 2-door late model Impala SS! Hot Rod
Magazine preaches “Dare to Be Different”, and all of us practiced that sermon.
There are no trophies or awards given out at The Power Tour. But if you enjoy
watching enthusiasts check out your ride, picture after picture taken of your ride,
and the possibility of appearing in an international publication, The Tour is for you.

And meet they did. All weekend, many enthusiastic Mark VII owners discovered The Club and our cars. Every officer
spoke with potential Members and answered many questions. If you didn't know, there are many folks out there with
Mark VII's who are looking for an organization such as ours and were happy to find us. The Club was rewarded with
signing up many new Members. If you are one of them, welcome to The Club!
Speaking of Members, The LM7 Club has quite a few extremely enthusiastic Members that drove long distances,
including Michael Topalian who traveled 600 miles from Montreal, Quebec and Mike Burrow and family who made the
1700 mile drive from Dalhart, Texas! Many people arrived as strangers but all left as new found friends of the Lincoln
Mark VII Club Family. Other Members from Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and
surrounding states contributed to making this the largest gathering on Mark VII's on the East Coast.
The Ford Nats was jammed-packed full of activities. Besides checking out thousands of the best Fords, there was a
manufactures' midway displaying their latest offerings, swap meet, car corral, special exhibits, beauty contest, and a
burn-out contest. In addition, Ford brought some special concept vehicles to display, including a concept Cobra, F250,
and Bronco. Nothing like looking at what we could be driving in the future.
A concerted effort by LM7 Club Members resulted in the most ever registered Mark VII's on the show field and a resulting
class break. The numbers of Mark VII's surpassed other Lincoln models, also a first ever! Finally, Mark VII's were broken
up into stock and modified classes. With more pre-registrations, the folks at Carlisle Productions will continue to break
our class up, giving everyone more of a chance to win an award.
As a reward for a weekend of cleaning and shining, many LM7 Club Members won awards. In the Mark VII Stock Class, st ndthe winners are as follows: 1 Place Rick Eckenrode 1990 Mark VII LSC SE, 2 Place Jack Cohen 1985 Mark VII Bill
rd stBlass, 3 Place Mitchell Swartz 1992 Mark VII LSC SE. In the Mark VII Modified Class, the winners are as follows: 1
nd rdPlace Russell Pentz 1991 Mark VII LSC SE, 2 Place Bill Neary 1986 Mark VII LSC, 3 Place Ronald Aul 1988 Mark
VII LSC. Congratulations to the winners!
Everyone agreed this was the best Ford Nats ever. And we're counting on a few things for the 2007 Ford Nats; parking in
the same spot on the fun field, even more Mark VII's on the fun field, even more Mark VII's pre-registering for the show,
and great weather. See you there next year.

Wanted
Looking for a good used Marchal Fog Light Lens with the black cat eye
still attached to the lens. Prefer a good lens that is not pitted and
definitely not cracked. I'll take just the cat eye. One of my lenses is
missing the cat eye.
I'm looking for a set of Koni struts for a Mark VII. They can be
completely shot. I just need them for cores. Useable ones would be great
though. ND4SPDLSC_AT_gmail_DOT_COM
