WRITTEN BY: DANIEL ROBINSON

FADE IN: EXT - OLD HOUSE - MORNING

WHOLE SHOT OF THE HOUSE,

We can see an old house. Opening music plays.

FADE TO:

FADE TO:

EXT - HOUSE

Four guys arguing back and forth.

DARREN Dude. This place is definitely haunted.

STAN Yeah. I think it could be, you know anything is possible.

DARREN (sarcastically)

You think!

STAN (serious)

Yeah. There is always a possibility that it is not haunted. What makes this place seem haunted?

DARREN Not haunted. Are you crazy? All houses that look spooky are almost all ways haunted. Plus this house has a legend!

Tom steps between Darren and Stan.

2.

TOM Now guys. We all know that this old place is not haunted.

DARREN (loudly)

You know what? I could prove it!

JEFF I’ll back you up man.

DARREN See. I’m not the only one here, who thinks that this house is haunted.

TOM Why do you think that this house is haunted?

JEFF Because man. This place is old and it has a legend.

STAN You all ready said that!

JEFF Shut up!

TOM What legend would that be?

JEFF (laughing)

You mean you don’t know?

TOM If I did would I have asked?

JEFF Okay. The legend says that a priest summoned up a demon and it possessed him and killed anyone who entered the house. A few years ago a woman by the name of Martha entered the house she was found the next day by a local. The police said that there was no sign or evidence of anyone else in the house!

3.

TOM You call that a legend?

JEFF What would you call a legend?

TOM Maybe something like Friday the thirteenth or nightmare on elm street.

JEFF Those are just movies this is the real deal.

TOM I think your wrong.

JEFF No I know that this is a haunted house.

TOM So because something has a legend, it is assumed to be haunted?

JEFF No. It has to come from within the house.

TOM Ok. I’m confused.

JEFF It’s horror 101. You have to know horror and legends to know what I am talking about.

TOM So let me get this right. This house is haunted because a demon was summoned and possessed a priest who killed people?

JEFF Right!

TOM So how do yo plan on proving that this house is haunted?

Page 5: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

4.

JEFF I don’t know.

TOM Some man you are! You run your mouth and can’t even back it up.

Jeff puts his head down in shame.

JEFF I don’t always have the answers.

Tom looks at the house and sees a curtain move.

CUT TO:

EXT - HOUSE – WINDOW

CUT TO:

EXT - HOUSE - JEFF

Jeff looks back up at Tom.

DARREN So what are we doing?

STAN I think these two are trying to decide that.

DARREN Oh!

JEFF Hey Tom.

Tom continues to look at the house.

JEFF Hey. Earth to Tom. Is any one home?

Tom just stands there with no expression on his face.

JEFF (CONT) Hey can you hear me?

Tom pops out of his daze and looks at Jeff.

Page 6: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

5.

TOM Yeah. I heard you.

JEFF Then what did I say?

TOM Something is not right.

DARREN That’s not what he said.

JEFF What did you say Tom?

TOM Something is not right.

JEFF What are you talking about?

TOM Forget it. It’s not important.

STAN Listen I got this idea and … well I think it would end our discussion of, if this place were haunted.

JEFF What do you have in mind?

STAN Do you guys scare easy or no?

JEFF Hell no.

DARREN Of course not!

TOM I don’t why?

Stan looks back at the house, and then back at the guys.

STAN Well we all could stay the night in this house.

Page 7: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

6.

JEFF How does that solve anything?

STAN Well if this place is not haunted then we all would know. If it is then I’m sure that we won’t be in there very long.

Jeff looks at the house and looks back at Tom.

DARREN Sounds good to me. How about you guys?

JEFF So when would you like to do this?

STAN How about now?

Jeff glances around at Stan and Darren and looks at Tom.

JEFF Ok. I’ll do this and it will prove that the house is haunted.

STAN Well! What do guys think?

DARREN I’m in.

TOM Me too.

JEFF Then it is decided.

Tom looks back at the house.

TOM (very loudly)

All right! Let’s meet back here tomorrow.

STAN What’s wrong with doing it now? I have things to do tomorrow!

Page 8: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

7.

TOM We all need to get some sleep and take care of things first.

DARREN Yeah like your will.

TOM Ha ha. I have to get cigarettes.

They all start to laugh.

TOM Let’s meet here tomorrow around four or so.

DARREN Sounds good to me.

STAN Yeah four.

JEFF So tomorrow it is.

CUT TO:

JEFF AND DARREN

Jeff and Darren walk away from the house. They head to old lady Mertile’s house. They walk up the porch stairs and knock on the door.

The door slowly opens and a face peeks around the door.

OLD LADY (scared)

Who are you? What do you want?

JEFF (politely)

My name is Jeff and this is Darren we were wondering about the old house.

OLD LADY (happy)

Come inside.

CUT TO:

INT OLD LADY’S HOUSE

JEFF (politely)

This is a nice place.

OLD LADY (happily)

Thank you. Now what do you want to know?

JEFF (curiously)

What really happened in the house?

DARREN Was there really a demon in side of it?

Jeff smacks Darren

DARREN Ouch! What was that for?

JEFF You don’t ask a question like that.

OLD LADY What house are you talking about?

JEFF The old haunted house in the woods.

OLD LADY (serious)

Oh. That house. That place needs to be knocked down all ready.

JEFF That’s the place. What do you know about it?

OLD LADY It all started a few years ago, and the correct term is, is there is a demon still in the house. You

know. I will tell you the story. It was a bitter night. There was something bad in the air.

OLD LADY (V.O.) You see the priest was inside of his church, looking for some spellbook. He told me about it and how he was so close to finding it.

FADE IN: INT - CHURCH

INT - CHURCH - LIBRAIRY

PRIEST In the early sixteen hundreds, a god was called upon, he granted wishes to the priests who thought their lives were over. The ceremony took place in a town some where in Singapore

He pulls out a map of the town and looks at it carefully.

PRIEST (happily surprised)

Ah Ha. The old abandoned house. It’s the same address. That has got to be the place.

Priest leaves the church and heads for the old house.

OLD LADY (V.O.) He went to the house.

EXT OLD HOUSE

The Priest looks at the house and seems eager to enter.

PRIEST This is the place.

He enters the house.

10.

OLD LADY (V.O) He thought he would find the answers to all of his problems. But what he found was death.

Priest looks around.

PRIEST Now to find that book!

He looks around and sees the book on the table next to a couch.

PRIEST (greedily)

This seems too easy. But what the heck!

CUT TO:

INT – OLD LADY’S HOUSE

DARREN So the book was on the table in plain view?

OLD LADY I would guess so. Any way he now had the book.

CUT TO:

INT – OLD HOUSE

PRIEST With this book I will have all my dreams, my wishes. I have to look for the spell.

He quickly flips through some of the pages and sees a spell.

PRIEST Ok maybe this one.

He reads a spell aloud.

Page 12: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

11.

PREIST (loudly)

I call to you. The mighty El-Diablo. Come to my aid and grant me the wishes I have. By the name of Rocka Demako

He waits but nothing happens. He tries again

PRIEST (frustrated)

I call to you. The mighty El-Diablo. Come to my aid and grant me the wishes I have. By the name of Rocka Demako

He waits again and still nothing happens.

PRIEST (angry)

Stupid book! Stupid me! Why is it I run to every legend just to find out that they are fake.

He slams the book shut and throws it across the room. The book fly’s across the room and lands open.

PRIEST (sadly)

I should have known it was too good to be true. But why me? Why can’t I be happy? I spend all day inside of a church devoting my life to God. Maybe I should just go back to the church and live my life the way I have been.

The priest heads for the door with his head hung low. He tries to open the door but it won’t open.

PRIEST (surprised)

What is wrong with the door?

He let’s go of the door.

PRIEST It never fails to amaze me. Some thing always happens to the priest.

The priest feels something grab him. He screams.

PRIEST HELP, HELP ME PLEASE.

We hear the priest scream

INT – OLD LADY’S HOUSE

OLD LADY I was out that night bringing flowers to my husband’s grave. I walked slowly because of my age, I didn’t want to fall and get hurt, so I walked slowly. Any way, I walked near the old house and heard a noise. I thought it sounded like someone in screaming. There were some serious yelling coming from the house.

JEFF So what did you do?

OLD LADY So I stopped and looked in the window. The priest was being pulled into a room by something.

JEFF What did it look like?

OLD LADY It looked like some one dressed in a black robe. I didn’t see his

face. It was only a few years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday.

DARREN So it could have been anything right? Like some one dressed in a black robe.

OLD LADY Yes. It could have been anything.

JEFF (interested)

What did you do next?

The old lady starts crying.

OLD LADY (crying)

Well, I called the cops and they went in to the house to investigate. When they came back out, they said there was no one inside.

JEFF So the priest was never found?

OLD LADY No, I’m afraid he was never found.

JEFF The cops found no blood or anything?

OLD LADY Well, I know they did but they said nothing pointed to a murder.

DARREN I think that’s strange. I mean a priest murdered, and no evidence to prove it.

OLD LADY That’s what I said. But they just called me crazy. Me an old lady. I have lived in this town since I was born and they call me crazy.

Page 15: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

14.

DARREN So what happened next?

OLD LADY Well the news spread like wild fire. The priest was never found and everyone was warned to stay away from the house. But right after the priest disappeared, a lady named Martha went into the house and never returned.

DARREN Wow! I guess that the house is haunted.

OLD LADY I know one thing.

JEFF What’s that?

OLD LADY I don’t think the house is haunted, I think that someone is killing people.

DARREN Then we better be careful.

Jeff looks around.

JEFF What time is it?

OLD LADY Oh it’s about seven thirty. Why?

JEFF We got to go. We got a big day tomorrow.

OLD LADY Excuse me. Why did you want to know about the old house anyway?

JEFF It’s just that, me and Darren are going to spend the night in that house tomorrow with some friends.

Page 16: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

15.

OLD LADY It would be wise for you to stay away from that house. I know what I saw and that place is unsafe.

JEFF There is nothing I can do about it. I ran my mouth to one of my friends and now, he wants four of us to stay there.

OLD LADY Well maybe you should go and talk to your friend and get him to change his mind.

JEFF I wish I could.

OLD LADY Well if you have to go, then be careful.

Jeff and Darren stand up and walk to the door. Darren steps out before Jeff

JEFF Thank you for your time.

OLD LADY Any time young man. Just beware of the house.

Jeff stops and looks at the old lady.

JEFF By the way I don’t think you are crazy.

The old lady smiles at Jeff. Jeff leaves the house.

CUT TO:

EXT OUT SIDE OF OLD LADY’S HOUSE

Jeff looks around and sees the empty streets. Jeff looks up at the sky and sees a starry night.

Page 17: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

16.

JEFF Man. What if the stories are true? What if tomorrow is my last day alive?

Jeff looks at Darren.

DARREN Hey Jeff. What are you thinking about?

JEFF Well. What if the house really is haunted?

DARREN So what if it is.

JEFF You know all my life I always wanted to go inside of a haunted place. But now I’m kinda scared.

DARREN Don’t let that old lady’s stories get to you. After all the cops said that it was all in her mind.

JEFF I guess your right. But what if there is a killer loose?

DARREN Does it matter? Dude. It’s just one night.

JEFF Yeah. I’ve got to chill out a little.

DARREN Yeah. You’ll see tomorrow that it’s not that bad.

They walk away from the old lady’s house.

INT TOM’S HOUSE

Tom and Stan are hanging out and drinking, listening to rock and roll music.

STAN (sarcastically)

Hey Tom what is your beef with Jeff anyway?

TOM (angry)

He just keeps running his mouth. Now he’s saying that the house is haunted. You know that. I have to show him who is boss! If I let him get away with it, then everyone will think they can.

Tom grabs another beer.

TOM If it’s not one thing it’s another. You know, just last week he was saying that I’m living wrong.

STAN What is wrong with some one pointing out their option?

TOM Why do you seem to think that every one has a good side to them? Why can’t you just accept the fact that sometimes people are bad?

STAN Because! All people have a good side to them!

TOM Whatever! Dude, turn up the music.

STAN (worried)

Yeah!

Stan walks over to the radio and turns it up.

Page 19: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

18.

TOM In this crazy world there is no right way.

STAN There is always a right and a wrong.

TOM But this time I know I’m right. That house is not haunted. It can’t be haunted, I know people who have entered that house and still live to tell the tail.

STAN Maybe they lied to you so that they would look cool.

TOM No. These people don’t lie.

STAN Well I don’t know.

TOM Plus he ran his mouth about me behind my back.

STAN Are you going to let that get to you?

TOM Stan what if I ran my mouth to you all the time?

STAN (mocking Tom)

Hey Tom, you do.

TOM Yeah well it’s different, I don’t let you run your mouth to me do I? Anyway after I get done with him he will run out of the house scared shitless.

STAN I never ever run my mouth about you.

Page 20: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

19.

Tom and Stan start laughing and continue to drink.

TOM You know what?

STAN What?

TOM I wonder why Jeff does this? You know, a few years ago he was an average person. He never messed with us and we always saved him from those bullies, Jimmy and his crew.

STAN Yeah, maybe Jimmy and the guys put him up to it.

TOM After all we did for him, why would he go and hang out with them?

STAN Maybe they get a kick out of this.

TOM That could very well be.

STAN You let a lot of stuff get to you.

TOM No I don’t.

STAN Listen to your self for once.

TOM Shut up. I know what my mind is telling me.

STAN What is it telling you now?

TOM Let’s take a trip to the clubhouse.

Page 21: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

STAN Now!

TOM Duh!

CUT TO:

INT THE CLUBHOUSE

Tom and Stan pull up to a building. They get out and walk up to the door.

TOM Now Stan, go ahead and knock on the door, I’ll hide over here.

STAN Why are you hiding?

TOM If they see that it’s me, they won’t answer the door.

STAN Good thinking.

TOM So go ahead and knock on the door.

Tom walks around the corner.

STAN Ok!

Stan knocks on the door. A man opens the door.

MAN AT THE DOOR. What do you want man?

STAN I’m here to see Jimmy.

MAN AT THE DOOR I’ll tell you what. If you can guess the password then I’ll let you in.

STAN Swordfish?

Page 22: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

21.

MAN AT THE DOOR Whoa. You are more stupid than you look. Dude. Just go away.

The man closes the door in Stan’s face.

STAN Hey Tom. It did not work. I guess we can go home right?

TOM No. It means we find another way in.

STAN What did you have in mind?

TOM My mind is blank. What about you?

STAN Well knocking on the door didn’t work. So maybe we should just leave and come back tomorrow.

TOM No. I got an idea.

STAN What’s that?

TOM Watch.

Tom walks in front of the door and kicks it open.

CUT TO:

INT – CLUBHOUSE NIGHT

There are three people standing around a lobby. The doorman walks over to Tom.

DOORMAN Hey. You can’t just walk in here like that.

Tom looks up at him.

Page 23: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

22.

TOM Hey. Do you think your ready to get your fucking arm broke?

The doorman steps back ready to fight.

DOORMAN Bring it.

Tom pulls out a gun.

DOORMAN I’m sorry.

TOM Where’s Jimmy?

They all point to a room in the back. Tom walks back to the room.

TOM Jimmy come on out you little shit. So I can pound your ass.

Tom walks into a room. He puts his gun away.

INT POKER ROOM

Tom walks in to a room with a poker table covered in poker chips and a green velvet lining. There are pictures hanging on the wall. There is a light hanging down over the center of the table. On the floor there is a shaggy carpet. We see five people sitting at the table. One of the people is wearing a black suit. Sharply dressed. He stands up.

JIMMY Tom! It’s good to see you man. Have a seat.

TOM Listen Jimmy! I’ve had enough of you trying to get me to beat up on Jeff. This is bullshit dude.

Jimmy puts his cards face down on to the table, and looks at Tom.

Page 24: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

23.

JIMMY Yeah well I think you should wipe the floor with the little snot. After all, You do want him to stop don’t you?

TOM Look. We both know how you like to meddle into other people’s business.

JIMMY Yeah okay. I really meddle into others business.

Tom is getting angry.

TOM Then why the hell do you try and get Jeff to run his mouth about me?

JIMMY Look. Tom, in case you haven’t noticed. I run this place. I’m like a godfather around here.

TOM Well say your prayers to your God cause your going to miss your father.

JIMMY What do you want?

TOM Tell me everything that has been going on. I will know if you’re telling me the truth.

JIMMY Sit down and lets talk like two adults.

Jimmy sits back down.

TOM Talk is cheap. Let’s settle this once and for all.

Tom rolls up his sleeves.

Page 25: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

24.

JIMMY Look. I told Jeff that he should stand his ground with you, and he said he would. Is it my fault that he called you a no good for nothing piece of shit?

Tom is really getting angry.

TOM Jimmy. I don’t understand what you are doing. You started to do good by telling me everything. Then you had to throw a stupid line in.

JIMMY Ha. What are you going to do about it? Boys!

Two guys stand in front of the poker room door. Tom pulls out his gun and the two guys back down.

TOM Jimmy come here. Right fucking now get over here. Don’t make me come over there.

JIMMY What are you going to do, shoot me?

TOM That would be to easy!

JIMMY Well I think you should leave. I’m in the middle of a card game. Besides you seem a little drunk.

TOM I’m not drunk enough.

JIMMY If you don’t leave, I can’t guarantee your saftey.

TOM Just try it.

JIMMY You need to go.

Page 26: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

Tom looks at everyone sitting at the table.

TOM Excuse me folk’s will you all take a break from your wonderful game and leave the room for a few minutes?

Everyone playing poker grabs their poker chips up and leaves the room.

JIMMY Hey. You all don’t have to leave.

Tom puts his gun away and walks over to Jimmy. He grabs him up by his shirt. Tom starts pounding on him. Then throws him to the floor.

TOM Next time Jimmy, I’ll kill you. I think you should leave Jeff alone. Can’t you find any new friends?

JIMMY Hey.

STAN What did you do?

TOM I just beat the shit out of him, and then I kicked him in his face.

STAN Wow!

TOM Are you about ready to go?

STAN I just don’t think you should have done that.

JEFF CONT (acting tough)

Tomorrow night, I’ll show him who is the chicken shit son of a bitch. I can do this.

Jeff closes his window and flops back down on his bed and closes his eyes.

JEFF (CONT) Maybe I should just quit while I’m a head.

Jeff sits on his bed.

JEFF If Tom only knew what was in that place and who we are.

Jeff lies on his bed and closes his eyes.

STAN You’re scaring me.

TOM Not as bad as I’m going to scare Jeff.

STAN Maybe I should just commit you.

TOM Ha ha. Just get up.

STAN I am!

Stan gets up and stretches. He walks into the kitchen.

STAN Hey Tom. How many hours did you sleep?

TOM I think just about three hours why?

STAN You don’t act like your tired.

TOM Dude I can go for days without sleeping. Then I pass out for just a couple of hours.

STAN What causes you to not sleep? Do you get nightmares?

Page 31: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

30.

TOM My nightmares are not what you think. I can see my dad and stuff.

STAN What do you think it means?

TOM It means nothing.

Stan walks back into the living room with two cups off coffee.

STAN Dreams always mean something.

Stan hands a cup to Tom.

TOM Well mine mean nothing.

STAN Hey it’s your life, not mine.

TOM What is that supposed to mean?

STAN Well if I had seen my father in a dream, then I would want to know what the deal was.

TOM So you think that it has something to do with my dad trying to tell me something?

STAN Could be. Just think about what he shows you in your dreams, and then think how it could be a sign.

TOM A sign of what.

STAN I don’t know.

TOM Okay. This conversation is over.

Page 32: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

31.

STAN (joking)

That will be five hundred dollars.

TOM Ha ha ha. Very funny.

Tom sips on his coffee.

TOM I’m going to work on my car for a while.

STAN What are you going to do to it now?

TOM I have to fix my carburetor.

STAN Again?

TOM Well it has to run nicely.

STAN I guess.

TOM You can help me.

STAN How am I supposed to help you?

TOM You can be my gofer.

STAN What!

TOM You go for this and you go for that.

STAN No thanks!

TOM Yeah. You stay here rent-free dude. You can help me out.

STAN Fine!

CUT TO:

INT - JEFF’S ROOM

Jeff’s alarm goes off and Jeff wakes up and shuts it off.

JEFF It’s morning all ready?

Jeff gets out of bed and stretches.

JEFF I must have set my alarm for nine o’clock.

Jeff starts to yawn.

JEFF I have got to start sleeping better.

He walks out to the kitchen and grabs a cup of coffee.

JEFF It’s going to be a long day today.

He goes back into the bedroom and opens his closet, and grabs out a duffel bag.

JEFF Well I better get everything ready for tonight. I got a lot of shit to pack up.

CUT TO:

INT - TOM’S HOUSE - GARAGE

Tom and Stan are in the garage, messing with Tom’s car.

Page 34: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

33.

STAN Are you really going to go through with this?

Tom stops and stands up.

TOM (angry)

Why is it that you keep asking me? I’m almost ready to pound you. So stop with the questions and let it go.

Tom hands it back to Stan.

TOM CONT I said a half-inch wrench not a nine sixteenths.

STAN Sorry.

Stan gets another wrench and hands it to Tom.

TOM That’s a little bit better.

STAN I told you I’m not a wake yet.

Tom goes back to working on his car.

TOM Then wake up.

STAN I said I was sorry.

TOM You’re going to be sorry if you keep it up.

STAN Hey Tom I have an idea.

Tom stops working on his car and looks at Stan.

TOM All right let’s hear it.

Page 35: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

34.

STAN What if we called the news people to cover the story?

TOM You know what? That sounds like a great idea. Hey. I got an idea too. Since you thought of it, how about you go call them.

STAN All right I will.

Stan runs inside and calls them up, and comes back out.

STAN They said they want to interview all of us around three or so at the old house.

TOM Well my car is done so let’s go see little Jeff.

STAN Is he even a wake yet?

TOM I don’t know and I don’t care.

STAN You’re going to give Jeff a heart attack.

TOM Oh well. Maybe he’ll think I showed up to call the bet off.

STAN No. I think he’s going to think that you are there to beat him up or something.

TOM Or something is more like it.

They get into the car and drive over to Jeff’s house.

CUT TO:

JEFF’S HOUSE

They pull into the driveway and Stan gets out and knocks on the door. Jeff answers the door.

STAN Hello, Jeff I need to talk to you.

Jeff looks over at the car and then back at Stan.

JEFF What do you want?

STAN The T.V. people want to interview us.

JEFF Why?

STAN This is a special thing man. All of us entering into the house of curse. It’s awesome.

JEFF No it’s not awesome, it’s stupid that place is haunted dude. People have died in that place.

STAN So you don’t want to be interviewed?

JEFF I did not say that.

Tom starts beeping the car horn.

STAN So are you going to be there?

JEFF Where?

STAN At the old house. Tom said to be there.

JEFF What time?

Page 37: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

36.

STAN Around three or so.

JEFF Sounds good to me. Tell Tom that I’ll be there.

STAN Will do. Cheerio mate.

Jeff closes his door and Stan walks over to the car and gets back in. Tom drives to the old house.

CUT TO:

EXT – OLD HOUSE

Tom and Stan pull up to the house. They sit in the car for a little while.

STAN Hey Tom.

TOM Yeah.

STAN Your not going to hurt little Jeff are you?

TOM No. I’m just going to put a scare into him.

STAN Ok.

TOM Why?

STAN Because, it’s not his fault that he was influenced by Jimmy!

Page 38: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

37.

TOM It’s not my fault that he keeps running his mouth is it?

STAN No.

TOM So am I responsible for everything that he does? What about you? Am I responsible for you or your actions?

STAN No I am responsible for my self.

Tom just looks at Stan.

STAN CONT Yeah, I understand what you are saying, but does that have anything to do with the house?

TOM Why would it?

STAN Well you did say something about scarring him right?

TOM Yeah. But it has nothing to do with the house.

STAN Explain.

TOM Ok. From the beginning I have to cut him down to size other wise he will think he is all big and bad.

STAN Look. I’m not a kid or anything you know.

TOM I know that. But I have to put a scare into him. I all ready took care of Jimmy.

Page 39: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

38.

STAN Now you have to watch your back.

TOM Why would I have to watch my back?

STAN Dude. Jimmy is no one to mess with. He will find your weakness and then he will win.

TOM Stan whose side are you on?

STAN What do you mean?

TOM You are acting like you have known Jimmy forever.

STAN No. I have known others like him and they have done the same thing.

TOM From here on out, I got my eye on you. Something is not right.

STAN What’s not right?

TOM If you were me and some one came up to you and said what you just said, would you think nothing of it.

STAN Yeah I guess you are right.

TOM What do you mean you guess?

STAN Hey Tom. Did you hear what Jeff was saying about this old house?

TOM No. What?

Page 40: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

39.

STAN He said that it is haunted.

TOM And you believe him?

STAN Yeah. He’s not the only one that has said something about that house.

Tom pulls out a cigarette.

STAN CONT What were you looking at when we were at the house?

TOM I thought I saw something, but it was nothing.

STAN Oh.

TOM How haunted could it be? It’s been sitting there for how long?

STAN Yeah I know.

TOM Then drop it all ready.

STAN Sorry.

They get out of the car.

TOM This is where I’m going to be for a whole night.

Jeff comes walking down the road and a news van pulls up.

VAN DRIVER Are you the guys spending the night here?

Page 41: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

VAN DRIVER Great! We will be ready in a few minutes.

TOM Sounds good to me. Has any one seen Darren?

DARREN I have been waiting for you dip shits to show up!

JEFF Hey Tom. I heard about Jimmy, did you do that?

TOM Don’t worry about it. Listen when we are on the camera, don’t be shy.

JEFF I won’t. Don’t worry.

The news cameras were all set and a man in black suit steps out from behind the van.

MAN Ok. I want a shot at the house and then at Tom and then at Jeff, then back to me.

TOM This shouldn’t take too long I hope.

MAN Hello everyone I’m Mark Swan. Reporting for action news eleven. I’m here in front of the towns haunted house with Tom Robinson, Darren Stevens, Stan Pars, and Jeff Matthews. Tonight they will enter the house and spend the night. Here is the leader of the group Tom.

Page 42: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

41.

TOM Hello, I’m Tom. We are all here to prove that this house is not haunted.

MAN What happened inside of this house Tom?

Jeff jumps in front of the camera.

JEFF A priest died inside of the house and the police never found his body. The ghost was called El-Diablo. Which means Devil. It is said that the ghost still to this day, haunts the house. Who ever enters the house will not come out alive.

MAN Wow what a tale of horror and don’t miss it folks. We will be here all night until morning to see who survives the old haunted house of “El-Diablo”. Reporting for action news eleven, I’m Mark Swan.

TOM Listen, we will all meet back here later. It is three thirty and we will all come back seven.

JEFF Yeah I have to finish packing anyway.

TOM I have to go get some beer.

DARREN I’ll wait here!

STAN I’m with you Tom.

They all left agreeing to meet back around seven or so. Jeff heads back to his house.

Jeff is busy packing some candles and a flashlight with a sleeping bag and stuff. Then there is a knock on the door.

KNOCK

JEFF Who is it?

DARREN It’s me man.

JEFF I’ll be out in a minute.

DARREN Hurry up.

JEFF Ok, almost done.

Jeff walks over to his dresser and pulls out a paper and sets it in to his bag.

JEFF CONT Tonight I can tell Tom the truth about him being my brother.

CUT TO:

OLD HOUSE

The sun started to set. Tom and Stan arrive at the old house. Tom grabs a small duffel bag and brings it with him. Before long the press was there. They pull up in front of the house.

STAN (sarcastically)

It looks like Jeff is not going to show up.

TOM (confident)

He’ll show up.

Page 44: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

43.

STAN Well here they come.

Tom stands up while Jeff and Darren come walking down the street. They each carried a duffel bag in their hands. They walk up to Tom and Stan.

TOM (happy)

So you made it.

JEFF (acting tough)

I wouldn’t miss this for the world. Let’s do this.

TOM Now remember. If any of us comes out of the house before the sun shines then that person loses.

JEFF Shut up and let’s just do this.

STAN Yeah let’s just do this all ready.

TOM (sarcastically)

Wow. It looks like some one grew a set of balls over night.

Tom opens the door and steps inside.

STAN (doubtfully)

Well, Let’s see what happens in the morning.

CUT TO:

INT – HOUSE - MORNING

They walk in and see that some of the windows are broken.

TOM This place is whacked.

Page 45: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

44.

JEFF So, do you think that ghosts are real?

TOM Why because a few windows are broke? I’ve never seen one before so, I’ll have to say no.

JEFF You can’t see air but it’s there right?

TOM Yeah. I have this thing about the super natural. I don’t believe.

JEFF Well if we are going to stay here for a while then I’m going to find a room and relax.

TOM I think I’ll look around for a few first.

STAN Yeah me too.

DARREN I want to check out the basement.

Jeff walks off to go find a room. Tom walks into a kitchen.

CUT TO:

INT – HOUSE – KITCHEN – MORNING

Tom starts looking around in the cupboards.

TOM This place is a wreck. Whoa. What is that?

Tom grabs an old coffee can from the back of the cupboard.

TOM (CONT) I wonder what’s inside.

Page 46: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

45.

Tom opens up the old coffee can and inside of it was a bunch of old papers. He reads them aloud.

TOM (CONT) Woman found murdered inside of house. Police say that she had been stabbed. No murder weapon had been found.

Tom looks through the rest of the papers.

TOM (CONT) They are all about this place. I wonder if Jeff knows about it?

CUT TO:

INT – HOUSE - UPSTAIRS – BEDROOM – MORNING

Jeff is sitting on a bed in a bedroom upstairs. He is very jumpy.

JEFF Ok. Get a hold of your self and things will be all right.

There was a knock on the door and Jeff jumped.

JEFF (CONT) Who’s there?

Tom opens the door and walks in holding a bunch of the papers from downstairs.

TOM Jeff, you have to take a look at these.

Tom hands them to Jeff. Jeff reads them over.

JEFF These things were all done here?

TOM I think so. I think that who ever did this is here in the house.

JEFF Stop. I am creeped out already from this house.

Page 47: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

46.

TOM I saw the curtain move when we were outside.

JEFF I don’t care. I still think it’s a ghost.

TOM Look.

Tom shoves the papers in Jeff’s face.

TOM (CONT) Does this look like a ghost? Some one killed this woman and got away with murder. I think we should get out of here.

Jeff gets up off of the bed and looks at Tom.

JEFF Ok. Maybe we should look down in the basement and see if someone lives here. Sound good to you?

TOM Are you crazy? The basement is where all weird stuff happens!

JEFF But if we can find the people responsible for all of these murders then we can turn them into the cops and collect a reward!

TOM Whatever!

Tom looks at his watch and looks at Jeff.

TOM Ok. We meet at the front door in ten minutes. If I’m not there just leave without me.

JEFF Well, if I’m not there come and find me. Ok?

Page 48: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

TOM Ok. I’ll come looking for you if you are not there.

Tom heads out of the bedroom and heads down stairs.

CUT TO:

INT – HOUSE - DOWN STAIRS – LIVINGROOM

Tom walks into the living room and checks behind all of the furniture. He walks back into the kitchen and opens a drawer.

CUT TO:

INT - HOUSE - KITCHEN

TOM There has to be a knife somewhere in here.

Tom looks and looks. He opens the bottom drawer and finds a huge butcher’s knife. He grabs the knife and heads for the front door, when he hears the basement door shut. He heads into the living room to check it out.

CUT TO:

INT – HOUSE – UPSTAIRS – TOM

Jeff is sitting down on the bed putting his stuff back into his bag. He does not see a robed person standing behind him.

hell! One quick gag before we leave.

Tom picks it up and carries it to where Jeff was sitting upstairs

CUT TO:

INT – UPSTAIRS – BEDROOM

Tom opens the bedroom door where Jeff was.

TOM CONT Jeff. Ok Jeff your not going to scare me. Come out where ever you are.

Tom looks behind the curtain and no one is there. He checks every where, but still Jeff is no where to be found.

TOM CONT Ok Jeff come on out. You got me.

Tom waits but still no sign of Jeff. Tom decides to sit down. He sees Jeff’s bag and opens it up.

TOM What the hell is this?

Tom picks up a piece of paper.

TOM CONT Dude this is a birth certificate.

Tom reads it.

TOM CONT Jeff Mathews, born January 21rst 1974. Mother: Connie Mathews, Father.

Tom stops reading.

TOM CONT That would mean that Jeff is my brother.

Page 50: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

49.

Tom puts the paper back into Jeff’s bag and zips it closed.

TOM CONT I wonder if Jeff is just playing around with me? Maybe if I just sit here and wait he’ll show up.

Tom pulls out a cigarette and lights it. He sits down onto the bed.

TOM CONT Jeff. I’m sitting here smoking a cigarette. If you come on out I’ll forget everything and you’ll win.

Tom sits there and waits, but there is no sign of Jeff. Tom puts out his cigarette and gets up.

TOM CONT Jeff. Where are you? We need to talk.

Tom Goes back down stairs.

CUT TO:

INT - HOUSE – DOWN STAIRS

Tom walks back into the living room and looks around.

TOM Jeff!

Tom goes into the kitchen and sees the basement door. Tom pulls out his knife and grabs a hold of the doorknob. He opens the basement door and goes down.

CUT TO:

INT - BASEMENT

TOM CONT Hello. Anybody here? Jeff.

Tom walks down the stairs and looks around. It’s dark so Tom pulls out a lighter and looks around some more.

Page 51: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

50.

TOM This place gives me the willies. I wonder what is down here anyway.

Tom walks around trying to see but it is hard because it is dark.

TOM CONT Well nothing down here. I better get back up stairs.

Tom goes up the steps and thinks he hears something in the basement. He turns around and heads back down.

CUT TO:

INT – HOUSE – BASEMENT

Tom holds onto the knife with all of his might.

TOM (CONT) Jeff!

Tom slowly walks down the stairs. One step at a time.

TOM Jeff! Are you down here?

Tom pulls out a lighter and lights it up. He looks for a light switch and turns on the light.

TOM (CONT) Whoa. This place is huge and creepy. It reminds me of that one movie, Nightmare on Elm Street.

Tom walks around looking for Jeff.

JEFF Tom is that you?

Tom walks around looking for Jeff.

TOM Where are you?

JEFF Over here man I’m tied up to this chair.

Page 52: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

51.

Tom walks over and unties Jeff.

TOM How did you get tied up?

JEFF You were right. There is someone here. I got brought down here and seen this man in a black robe, he was doing something over there. He seen me and I went to run but he caught me and hit me over the head with something.

Tom still holding the knife in his hands looks at Jeff.

TOM You didn’t yell to me. Where are Darren and Stan?

JEFF I don’t know.

TOM I think you should go and find them and get the hell out of here.

JEFF Yeah sounds good to me.

TOM Well why don’t you get the hell out of here.

Jeff starts walking away. Mumbling to him self.

TOM Hey.

Jeff turns around.

JEFF What.

TOM Did you just say something?

JEFF Yeah. I was just saying that I want to get out of here.

Page 53: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

52.

TOM Then hurry up and get out of here.

Jeff turns around and heads up the basement stairs. Tom continues to look around.

TOM Well. It doesn’t look like any one lives here. Maybe some one hangs out here.

Tom walks up to what looks like a door. He pushes on it and it opens.

TOM Oh man. That is a nasty smell.

Tom reaches around to turn on the light.

TOM I wonder what is in there?

Tom goes to take a look, He sees the dead priest up against the wall.

TOM The priest!

Something hits him on the head. Tom falls to the ground. When tom comes to He sees two blurry objects.

TOM Where am I?

Tom reaches in his pocket and pulls out his lighter and lights it.

TOM Oh my God.

Tom was in a room with a table and a hanging light that had bloodstains on it. There were concrete walls surrounding him.

TOM CONT (freaking out)

Ok Tom get a grip and breathe

Page 54: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

53.

GHOST Tom. You must wake up, and get out of this house. Wake up.

Tom looks and thinks he sees Jeff.

TOM Jeff. Is that you man?

GHOST Yes. You must get out or you will die here just like me.

TOM You don’t look dead man. You look like some one has put a lot of powder on your face.

Jeff disappeared. Tom grabs the back of his head.

TOM CONT (convincing himself)

It was a dream. All just a dream. I did get hit in the head pretty hard.

Tom closes his eyes. When he hears someone call his name he jumps.

TOM CONT (scared)

Who’s there? Jeff is that you? It sounded like you.

TOM Jeff? Where did you go? I’m losing it

Tom seems to be in the living room up stairs.

CUT TO:

INT - HOUSE – LIVING ROOM

STAN Oh don’t be a fucking crybaby. I put up with your shit long enough.

Tom sits down and so does Stan.

Page 55: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

54.

STAN CONT You see I come from a place worse then your nightmares. I am called here and now I’m stuck here. I don’t want to go back.

TOM What kind of God are you?

STAN Well that dumbass priest thought I was a wishing God, Like a genie or something. I’m a God of torture and death. Once I’m called, I must kill every one and everything in my way.

TOM Am I going to die?

STAN Of course you are. But not yet.

TOM Just do it now and get it over with.

STAN No. Listen, hears the deal. I will give you untill midnight to find the one page you need to end the curse. When I return and you have not found it and read it, then I will kill you, but it will have to be a slow death ok?

TOM So I have four hours to do all this in?

STAN Well I would give you more time but Sun up is in seven hours. TA TA.

Stan disappears and Tom is now faced with a huge problem.

TOM Four hours seems like a lot of time but where can that page be?

Page 56: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

55.

Tom continues his search for the page. He looked every where and still not the right page. He sits down and remembered the pages he found before.

TOM CONT In these pages has got to be the right spell.

Tom keeps looking.

TOM CONT I will find the right spell

Tom remembers that in his back pocket there was a spell.

TOM CONT This may be an invisibility spell but what about of the backside of it?

Tom turns it over and notices that it is the wrong spell.

TOM I have got to find it.

Tom goes through the pages one more time.

TOM It has to be here. Where the hell is it?

He reads through each and every one of the pages, but none of them were the right page. Tom looks at the clock and sees that he has half an hour left. He sits down on to the couch and lights up a smoke. He leans back and closes his eyes. When he opens his eyes he sees a page sitting on a rafter near the ceiling.

TOM CONT Of course. It was sitting right in front of me the whole time.

Tom looks for something to knock down the page.

Page 57: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

56.

TOM CONT There has to be something around here to knock it down with.

Tom Looks around and sees a broom handle.

TOM CONT Now if I can just reach it.

Tom grabs the broom handle and climbs onto the couch and knocks the page down.

TOM CONT I got it. Yes.

TOM CONT This has to be it. It says to undo a curse, this has to be the right one.

Tom sits down to read it over.

TOM CONT Ok so all I have to do is say this aloud three times and it should work. It seems too simple.

Tom decides he will do the spell after one more smoke and one more beer. He lights up his last smoke. After he finishes he stands up, and grabs the paper.

TOM CONT Well I have to do this.

STAN Hello, Tom.

Tom jumps.

TOM Who is there?

STAN Just turn around and you will see.

TOM No. By your voice, It sounds like you Stan.

Page 58: THE HOUSE OF CURSE By Daniel Robinson · "THE HOUSE OF CURSE" By Daniel Robinson Daniel Robinson POB 173 Grand Gorge, NY 12434 E-MAIL Stupifided2002@yahoo.com

57.

STAN Very good.

TOM What do you want?

STAN Don’t you get it?

TOM Get what?

STAN I want the paper.

TOM Why would I give you the paper?

STAN If you want to live you will give it to me now.

TOM You may be behind me but I will stop this once and for all.

STAN Silly mortal. You think a spell will send me back?

TOM Yes. It should do the trick.

STAN Think again.

TOM I will send you back to the pits of hell. Where you belong.

STAN I would love to see you try.

TOM Just give me a second.

Tom is looking for the beginning of the spell.

TOM CONT One question.

STAN Fire away.

TOM Why did you kill my brother?

STAN I’m afraid you are going to have to be a little more specific.

TOM Jeff. Why did you kill Jeff?

STAN He asked me to. You see when some one gets all lonely inside and feels like their world is gone, then they want to die.

TOM Well I know damn well, that he did not want to die.

STAN How do you know that? He wanted to tell you how his life sucked but he was to scared to.

TOM He could have told me anything.

STAN Ah yes. But would you have listened?

TOM I guess not. He did try to tell me something after we got here but I told him to stop.

STAN So you see, I can bring him back if you give me the paper.

TOM How can you bring him back?

STAN I can do what ever I want to do.

59.

TOM So if I give you the paper with the spell, then you will give me my father and my brother back?

STAN I said I would give you back your brother. I did not say I would give back your father.

TOM You said anything.

STAN Just give me the paper.

Stan disappears and returns in a hooded black robe. You can not see his hands, or his face.

TOM I am going to turn around and then we will talk face to face.

Tom turns around and sees a hooded black robe.

DARREN I’m getting tired. Are you going to say your precious little spell?

Tom starts to read the spell out loud.

TOM The covering curse will wallow and cease, it is time to set this curse to piece.

Darren grabs his head and shouts.

DARREN No No No.

TOM The covering curse will wallow and cease, it is time to set this curse to peace.

Darren is shaking very badly.

DARREN Tom Just stop now.

Tom sits down and takes a deep breath.

TOM CONT It’s really over. I can now leave the house.

INT – UPSTAIRS

DARREN I don’t know, maybe they went down into the basement.

Jeff comes running into the living room.

JEFF Guys we got to get out of here.

STAN I don’t know either.

JEFF Forget you guys.

Jeff turns around. Stan and Darren get up off of the couch.

DARREN No one will ever forget us.

Darren stabs Jeff in his side.

DARREN Grab him and throw him in the closet.

Stan grabs Jeff and pulls him into the closet.

STAN What about Tom?

DARREN We should go and check on him.

TOM’S DAD No. Why would I be dead?

TOM I thought that you died in a car crash.

TOM’S DAD A car crash? That’s why you think I’m dead?

TOM Well yeah. I thought you were buried and everything.

Tom sits there next to his dad looking like he had seen a ghost.

TOM’S DAD How do you really know if that paper is even real?

TOM I don’t.

TOM’S DAD Then just leave it all alone.

Tom is trying not to cry.

TOM Dad.

TOM’S DAD Yeah son.

TOM What did you used to call me when I was young?

TOM’S DAD I used to call you sport.

Tom turns his head.

TOM Bullshit. My father was only around for four years and he never called me anything.

Tom’s Dad stood up, and disappeared.

Jeff’s ghost disappeared. Jimmy was freaking out.

JIMMY Where did he go?

TOM I told you he is dead.

JIMMY Boys let this asshole go and search the house for Jeff, and bring him to me.

The two guys let go of Tom and walked up stairs to search for Jeff.

TOM Jimmy as soon as I get up you will pay for what you have done.

Jimmy pulls out a gun and points it at Tom.

TOM We couldn’t find you or Darren.

STAN Wow. My plan worked better than I thought it would.

TOM You’re sick and twisted.

STAN My friend and me have had a lot of fun in this old house.

TOM So it was you and Darren who killed the girl?

STAN Yes. Now I get to kill you.

Tom stood up and got ready to fight.

STAN (CONT) Why even try?

TOM At least I can say I tried.

Stan goes over to tom and swings a bat at his legs. Tom falls to the ground. Stan goes to swing it again, and Tom grabs the bat.

TOM Die. I will not give up.

Before Tom was done. Both of them were lying on the ground.

TOM I'm getting the hell out of here.
