Son of Man

“Then they will see ‘the Son of Man coming in clouds’ with great power and glory. Then he will send out the angels, and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.”Mark 13:26-27 (NRSV)

In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.

Jesus’ Second Coming

When he had said this, as they were watching, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. While he was going and they were gazing up toward heaven, suddenly two men in white robes stood by them. Acts 1:9-11 (NRSV)

and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

Then Moses led the people out of the camp to meet with God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain. Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the Lord descended on it in fire.

The Lord descended to the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain.

When He Comes

But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. He will transform the body of our humiliation that it may be conformed to the body of his glory,Philippians 3:20-21 (NRSV)

by the power that also enables him to make all things subject to himself.

Judgment

Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.” The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.
