THE HOLOCAUST

THE TERROROF ADOLF HITLER

HOLOCAUST is defined as:

•THE DELIBERATE EXTERMINATION OF AN ETHNIC OR RACIAL GROUP

•HITLER’S MASTER PLAN was to create a new world order where all Europeans would serve the German (Aryan) “Master Race.”

• All minorities, but especially Jews, were considered inferior & therefore would be either German slaves or would be exterminated.

• The S.S. were given the responsibility for the mass killings.

• Over 10 million died in Nazi death camps– 6 million of this number were

Jews (1.5 million were Jewish children)

– Others included Czechs, Poles, Soviets, gypsies, homosexuals, etc.

• THE WORST DEATH CAMPS WERE IN POLAND:– AUSCHWITZ --

the worst of all, 3-4 million died at this camp

– BERGEN-BELSEN

• DACHAU (Germany) – medical experiments

SYMBOLS OF THE HOLOCAUST

This is where prisoners selected for slave labor were processed. Often people would have to wait outside naked in any weather. Here they would have to give up all their remaining possessions: money, jewels, even wedding rings and photos. In short, the prisoner was left with only one possession, his or her body. In this building planned humiliation was performed on the confused and terrified new arrivals. Men and women were forced to stand on stools, in a room crowded with people while heads, armpits and other intimate parts of one's body were shaved by male prisoners and where numbers were tattooed in each arm. It is also where prisoners already in the camp were deloused., this because of the raging typhus epidemics.

THE GASCHAMBER

This chamber in Mauthausen was built in the basement, below the sick quarters. It was completed and used by the spring of 1942. On the other hand, the sick quarters were only half completed at war's end. The SS would cram 120 persons into this chamber, seal the doors and pump in carbon monoxide. Inefficient as it was, the prisoners often died of suffocation rather than the gas. “Consequently, when the doors were opened to remove the bodies, it was found that the dead were covered not only with excrement and blood, but their eyes protruded from their heads and their bodies stiffened into grotesque positions.”

THEDISSECTINGTABLE

Among many other pseudo-scientific "experiments", SS doctors removed organs from living people, bottled and stored them on shelves in the dissecting room. They skinned prisoners with interesting tattoos and sold them as book covers, gloves, luggage and lamp shades. One physician selected two prisoners with near perfect teeth and used their heads as paperweights on his desk. Extreme experimentation will also be done on pregnant women….to determine how to abort the pregnancies.

Average German soldier could not do this…the elite, the SS, will be put in charge.

BERGENBELSEN

When the Supreme Comander of the Allied Forces, Gen. DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER, found the victims of the concentration camps, he ordered to have photographs taken, and he also had the German population of the surrounding cities taken to the concentration camps to see the horror, and in some cases had them bury the dead.

AND THE REASON FOR THIS?

EISENHOWER EXPLAINED IT THIS WAY:

``TO COLLECT AS MUCH PROOF, FILMS, TESTIMONIES......., BECAUSE THE DAY WILL COME WHEN SOME ‘SON OF A **’ WILL SAY THAT THIS NEVER HAPPENED.´´

SS AT BERGEN-BELSENCarries a victim for burial in a mass grave. Allied commanders were bent on teaching the German people a lesson. Citizens of nearby towns & captured Germans who had run the camps were required to load the corpses into trucks & wagons & carry them to burial grounds deliberately chosen in prominent places to remind the German people of theNazi atrocities.

‘ALL THAT IS NEEDED FOR EVIL TO SUCCEED IS THAT DECENT HUMAN BEINGS DO NOTHING’.

Edmund Burke
