2008 – A male reported a white 96-98 Chevy club cab has been terrorizing the neighbor-hood for about three days now. About seven minutes ago, the driver smoked his tires up the hill going southbound. The vehicle almost hit someone that was leav-ing the area. The caller believes the driver is a high school kid. He said he tried to step in front of him but had to get out of the way. the water is starting to come up on the roadway at her place. DOT and DES notified.
0847 – A female is missing her handgun from its case from her car. She said it could have happened in Bozeman, but she is pretty sure it happened when she was home last month. She said they took the gun with some ammo and left the case, which is why she didn’t notice it gone for a while. She said the gun was won at a raffle but it is registered under her dad’s name at D&G.
1011 – A male reported hear-ing a child or baby crying on the hill above his house. He then said someone might be up there with the child now as he can see an adult and the crying stopped. Minutes later he said there were two adults on scene. He thought everything might be okay but he wasn’t sure.

It pulled into Zerbes and everything is okay.

0837 – A female said she has received four calls from the same number in Texas. She said it is an automated recording that says it is from the Social Security Ad-ministration and said she needs to call them back. She was advised to block the number from her phone as it is a scam.

He said a male just came up to where he is and punched him in the face a couple times for shar-ing a news article on Facebook. 1455 – A Fort Peck female called seeking advice on a situ-ation she has going on at her
house. She said a woman showed up and said they are out of gas. The caller said the woman is intoxicated but has a friend who is driving. The caller and her husband gave them some gas and checked to make sure the woman who arrived at the house wasn’t driving. She said the woman then arrived back at the house and was calling her every name in the book. The woman told the caller that they were down in the area because she was showing her friend where her kid got his first elk. The caller doesn’t think that they were ever down in the area because not many elk come through. The caller said these people are out on this road in just a front-wheel drive vehicle. They have already gotten stuck once and they are now stuck again. She isn’t sure if she should go pull them out again or not. The caller was put in touch with a deputy.

a white extended cab pickup almost ran her off the road. She said the vehicle was headed eastbound and it swerved at her, making her swerve out of the way. She said she has a 10-month old child in the vehicle. She said this happened on the gravel part of Airport Road and the vehicle was headed eastbound. LEGAL NOTICE
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is proposing to re-establish self-sustainable sharp-tailed grouse populations west of the Continental Divide. FWP would achieve this objective through reintroductions of sharp-tailed grouse in core areas with the most suitable habitat: the Blackfoot Valley; the northern Bitterroot Valley; and the Drummond Area. FWP would capture a total of 75-180 grouse each year for five years across Regions 4, 5, 6, and 7. Capture locations would be dispersed in a way that would minimize impact to source populations. The Western Montana Sharp-tailed Grouse Reintroduction draft environmental assessment was released for a 30-day public comment period on Feb. 15. FWP received 52 comments for the draft EA. The public comments were generally positive and supportive in nature with few comments either neutral or non-supportive. The draft EA did not identify any significant negative impacts through the proposed action to Montana's sharp-tailed grouse population.
In reviewing all the public comments and other relevant information, and evaluating the environmental effects, we recommend that the Fish and Wildlife Commission approve Alternative B, Reintroduction of Sharp-tailed Grouse in the Blackfoot Valley, the Northern Bitterroot Valley, and the Drummond Area. FWP believes the completion of this alternative provides the best opportunity for returning self-sustaining, viable populations of STGR to western Montana. Based on the draft EA, which has not identified any significant negative impacts by the proposed action to Montana's STGR population, an EIS is not required, an EA is the appropriate level of review. Noting and including the responses to public comments, the draft EA will become the final EA and together with this decision notice will serve as the final documents for this proposal.
The Fish and Wildlife Commission is scheduled to review the proposal at its April 25 meet-ing in Bozeman.
Copies of the decision notice are available at the FWP office, 490 N. Meridian Rd., Kalispell; Montana State Library, 1515 E 6th Ave., Helena; FWP State Headquarters, 1420 E 6th Ave., Helena; the FWP website at http://fwp.mt.gov/news/publicNotices/decisionNotices/; and avail-able for viewing at local libraries.
