May was also an excellent month for the Healthy Living Workshop, featuring guest resource speaker Sigrid Grobys, ND, who talked about the basic building blocks of good health while focusing on the nutritional benefits of NingXia Red®, Omega Blue™, and Longevity™.

Now more than ever, the region’s grow-ing momentum and excitement toward Young Living is evident, as nearly 30 dis-tributors from Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong attended the International Grand Convention. Distributors have many amazing events to look forward to in upcoming months, with Dr. Dan Purs-er’s visit in July and the South East Asia Leadership Seminar in Bali in September.

PERUThe grand opening of Young Living Peru was a great success, with hundreds of dis-tributors and guests in attendance to welcome Young Living to the beautiful country. With Gary Young leading the ceremonies, attendees were able to catch a glimpse of his vision of what lies ahead for the company in Peru. As part of the weekend festivities, the Young Living of-

fice was open to the public for tours. The office’s new location is designed to be a central gathering place for meetings and trainings.

Simiane-la-Rotonde, FranceThe France farm will host Gary and Mary Young and a large group of distributors for the 20th anniver-sary celebration July 3–8. One of the highlights the group will see will be the fields of lavender from Mona that were planted during May.

Guayaquil, EcuadorOregano and lemongrass are current-ly being harvested, and field expan-sion is underway. This is an exciting time for the Ecuador farm, made only more so by the near completion of the new spa.

Mona, UtahAll of the preparation for the Family Farm Day Celebration paid off as the farm successfully hosted thousands of distributors, families, and fans of fun. Everyone seemed to enjoy the beautiful scenery, great food and ac-tivities, and excellent entertainment.

With Farm Day completed, atten-tion now turns to expanding and planting more lavender and pepper-mint and to preparing the distillery for the lavender, hyssop, and clary sage crops that will be distilled later this summer.

St. Maries, IdahoThe cool weather and rain have slowed the progress of the melissa and lavender expansion at St. Maries, but when the weather shapes up, the expansion will be full steam ahead.

Because of the weather, focus has shifted to installing a new boiler at the distillery, as well as expanding and remodeling the farm’s lodge. The lodge has now been fitted with a con-venient conference room and much more private space to house distrib-utors who attend the harvest events.

Naples, IdahoCultivation and nutritionally supple-menting the trees that were planted during the reforestation project this spring is ongoing.

Wow! What an amazing convention! The International Grand Convention has been truly spectacular! It was so wonderful to see so many from our family of Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong members there. I personally treasure the time we spent together, learning, sharing and providing instruction to others from around the world on the benefits of Young Living Essential Oils.

I remember being on a backpacking trek high in the Rocky Mountains about 20 kilometers from the Canadian border when I was suddenly caught in a summer snowstorm. Rather than wander aimlessly through the snow, I quickly built a small fire and set up shelter for the duration of the storm. I had not received specialized training in cold weather survival. Nor did I necessarily need it. Some simple steps not only helped me survive the snowstorm, but enjoy my time in the outdoors despite being a little cold.

Unfortunately, others in my hiking party panicked, and quickly lost faith in their ability to survive the snow. Like me, they also had limited knowledge of cold weather survival. But instead of using the little knowledge they had, they quickly got wet and cold and started begging others in the party to provide them shelter from the storm.

In my time with Young Living I have seen many cases where people learn the basics about essential oils, but never use or apply them. Instead they give up and don’t use the oils at all, or they spend all their time looking for more and more information, but never actually use the oils or share them with others. How many times have I heard the phrase “I have the oils, now what do I do with them?”

I encourage everybody to use Young Living Essential Oils every single day, enjoy them and share them with others. Advanced, specialized training in essential oils is great, but it is not a replacement for everyday use and first-hand experience. As for me, Peppermint, Thieves and Stress Away are always at my fingertips, and though I may not know much about the chemical breakdown of each, I know they work for me because I use them every day.

For those of you who attended convention, remember to share what you have learned with others in your organizations, and with those around you. Information is only as good as what you do with it! We have a wonderful opportunity to transform the world around us to one of Wellness, Purpose and Abundance. Sheena Ling, SilverWhat moved me this convention was the high standard that not just

Gary, but every single staff in Young Living hold to ensure that we get nothing less than the best. This standard wasn’t demanded just for Young Living, Gary’s vision demands this of every healthcare company and Young Living leads by being the example. It is very clear this isn’t a fight to be a great earning company, but a fight to make sure we are not compromised. Significantly, going to one of the farms to see what happens for the plants from seed to bottle, brings to reality that all these weren’t just talk, but a promise and guarantee that ZERO corners are cut. I’m not cutting corners, are you?

Ana OwThe 2012 YL International Convention was an awe-inspiring journey! It

was eye opening to be exposed to workshops conducted by independent experts discussing such a range of health and well-being issues, from Cancer and obesity to spirituality and emotions. It was also such a fun and entertaining experience: friendly faces, exciting shows, inspirational talks by Gary Young and Bob Proctor and the cool NingXia Red bar in the Product Expo was my absolute favourite part! There was something for everyone of any age (there was a Kid’s Oil Camp too!) to learn and enjoy. My take away from this is that I am inspired to delve further into educating myself about the oils because they are such a God-given treasure on earth.

Kai Tan, GoldThe Grand Convention this year truly reflected its theme of

Transformation. What impacted me this year, is the amount of work Gary is investing in to establish Young Living internationally as the world Leader in Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils. And this isn’t for a selfish agenda but truly to protect consumers and raise the overall standards and understanding of Essential Oils for therapeutic use. One such example is the set-up of AIRASE- a non-profit independent organisation to promote scientific validity of essential oils for home, health and medical uses and globally making available these research so that we all can genuinely create wellness in a safe and natural way.

I feel extremely grateful to know my essential oils come from a company that has a deep vision for the wellness of our world and the community.

Lynda ChanIt was a fun and amazing experience to be at the convention. I had a great

time not only learning from the event speakers but also from members around the world. Everyone was so willing to share their experience with the oils. The whole place smelled so good and the energy was so good! It was fabulous to taste NXR with a mixture of EOs at the product expo and now I’ve learned to mix oils with my NXR!!! I also met the man who saved my life with his protocol on avoiding heart ballooning.. Mr Don Clair. I was so happy to be able to meet and thank him personally. Will be looking forward to attend future events!!! Thank you Will, Karen and all at YL Singapore for making this event possible and successful!!!!

Joycelyn ChuaYL convention 2012 is my initiation into the ‘ultimate’ YL family! Interacting with fellow oilers and business builders gave me a deeper insight into the world of essential oils. Wide spectrum of workshops by practitioners and presentation by renown Bob Proctor boost my knowledge and business progression. A must-attend for business builders.

Frances Fuller, DiamondThe whole convention was a magical experience for me. Reconnecting

with long-time friends and meeting new people is such a joy! The emotional highlight was when Gary Young invited our Singapore-Hong Kong group to come up on stage and talked about the passion and commitment he feels from our members. The educational highlights for me were the presentations on cancer research by Dr. H. K. Lin and Dr. Suheil.

Richard Ho, GoldJust a short note to say that I enjoyed the Convention very much. There were so many workshop sessions to choose from! Unfortunately we can’t attend all of them due to time contraints! The leadership session and motivational talks with Gary and Bob Proctor were great and for me personally, it was a GREAT honor to be the flag bearer for Singapore!

Foo Siow Huei- Circle of Abundance WinnerBeing in the same room with thousands of people who are excited and

passionate about Young Living essential oils has been very inspiring and motivating for me. The workshops and general session gave me lots of insights and knowledge to share and give more to my loved ones and people around me. I’ve gained what I set out to get, which is knowledge and information for me to share confidently. However personally experiencing the unshakable commitment of Gary Young towards his work is definitely priceless!

Christina Wan- Circle of Abundance WinnerThe 2012 Grand Convention has been an eye-opener for me! I got to

learn a lot through the talks and workshops in the Expo, meet lots of wonderful people that taught me helpful tips in using the YL products!

The farm day was also a fulfilling experience where I got to learn how my YL products come about, together with lots of fun activities organized by Young Living!

Looking at the Convention, it has been a wonderful experience as it is where I learnt that Young Living is more that just a product, but in this small bottle of essential oil, embodies the mind, spirit and soul of the company and its vision that cannot be found in any other product!

Joyce YeoThe 5-Day Convention was FABULOUS!!! It was great to be able to

attend Gary Young’s speech, workshops and talks by other speakers. Personally I enjoyed Mr Bob Proctor’s talk very much! I got to experience the Raindrop spa, face analysis, facial and body massage during the expo, which was an eye opener for me. Activites were packed and I simply wished I just had more time there! Goodies shopping is another favorite for me!

Last but not least I want to thank the YL Singapore office for taking very good care of every one of us. We love you all.

Elsie Pang, Silver- Circle of Abundance WinnerMany will agree that Salt Lake City turned into a Young Living City the week of the convention. People from all walks of life got together for a common purpose to learn more and more about the oils through the heartfelt sharing of others. It was truly an amazing experience seeing the extended YL family and hearing first hand from the many I met about their YL journey and how the oils changed their lives for the better. Seeing how the customer service people worked such long hours and yet attended to us well and happily and how proud and passionate the Manager at the distiller, was when he took us on a tour of the distillation process speaks volume about the ‘heart’ of the organisation that Young Living was built on. I am proud to be a part of this family!

Jacq Ong, Silver and Gennet SongThis is our first experience of an International Young Living Convention.

Getting the experience to meet Gary and Mary first hand is amazing. Gary’s integrity, passion and vision for Young Living is awesome and inspiring.

Being with the Young Living family and visiting the farm creates great assurance for us about the quality of YL products. There were so many exciting new products to try and new things to learn at the expo that time just didnt allow us to attend all!

We are so blessed to be part of the Singapore team and so proud of our very own Diamond, Frances Fuller.

Fee Boey & Nigel Pendrigh, SilverThere are two highlights of the 2012 YL Convention. They are:· It took place in Salt Lake City so that we could visit the farm and the distillery and see and smell the actual plants in the fields that will be in a bottle soon for everyone to share · The breakout sessions allowed many YL distributors to share their success tips with everyone else

Patricia Gwee, GoldThe major highlight of the Grand Convention 2012 for me was

attending presentations by Dr HK Lin and Dr Mahmoud Suhail. I was really excited to hear first-hand the scientific research that they have done on Essential Oils and in particular on FRANKINCENSE & Cancer. I am very impressed with the dedication and commitment of everyone working for and with Young Living to produce the Purest of Essential Oils and most importantly support it through scientific research to assure the highest quality, safety and efficacy. I am indeed grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of the Grand Convention 2012!! Thank you ALL for making it possible.
