Cinco mujeres ya ancianas se juntan a tomar el té, sagradamente, una vez al mes desde hace sesenta años. En estas reuniones se pelean y se quieren, recuerdan su pasado, tratan de adaptarse a los cambios sociales, y comparten sus últimos años olvidando completamente el poco tiempo que les queda.
Five elderly women have religiously gathered for tea once a month, for the past sixty years. In this meetings they argue and they care for each other, they remember their past, try to adapt to social change and share their last years while forgetting completely the short time they have left.

Hubo un grupo de profesionales jóvenes y religiosos, que al alero de la Vicaría de la Solidaridad de la iglesia católica decidieron quedarse en Chile para defender los derechos humanos. Los protagonistas de esta historia dedicaron su vida a desentrañar ese gran secreto.
Forty years ago, a military dictatorship began in Chile which embarked on a massive political, social and economic transformation of the country; human rights were systematically violated. A group of young professionals came together with members of the clergy and under the protection of the Vicariate of Solidarity set up by the Catholic Church, having decided to stay in Chile and defend human rights. The protagonists of this story risked their lives to unravel this ominous secret.

Las cruces de QuillaguaThe crosses of Quillagua
Quillagua es considerado el punto más seco del planeta con apenas un promedio anual de 0,2mm de agua caída en 40 años. Gracias al río Loa, el pueblo sustentaba la agricultura y ganadería, hasta que en los años ochenta las grandes mineras contaminaron el río. A través de este documental escuchamos la historia del pueblo y su gente.
Quillagua is considered the driest place on Earth, with barely a 0.2mm yearly average of fallen water in the last 40 years. Thanks to the Loa river, the town sustained agriculture and farming until the eighties, when the big mining companies polluted the river. Through the documentary we hear the tale of the people and the town of Quillagua.

Durante el 20 de diciembre de 2012, Quillagua mantiene expectación con el eventual “fin del mundo” que vaticinan los medios de comunicación. Quillagua es un oasis que ha visto su río contaminado por compañías mineras. Por esta razón, para esta comunidad aymara, el fin del mundo se ve como algo cercano y verdadero y es en este día cuando el pueblo reflexiona sobre la fe, la familia, las raíces indígenas y la necesidad del cuidado de la madre tierra.
On December 20, 2012, the town of Quillagua was expectant about the eventual “end of the world” predicted by media all around the world. Quillagua is an oasis, which has seen its river polluted by mining companies. For this reason, the Aymara community foresees the end of the world as a close and real event. On this day, the town reflects about faith, family, their indigenous roots and the need to take care of mother earth.

Chile, 1972. During Salvador Allende’s Government, the building for keeping the 3rd United Nations Conference for Trade and Development UNCTAD III was built in 275 days. This documentary explores the participation of 34 artists asked to incorporate their work to the building’s architecture, and the path followed by their art pieces in Chilean history.

Tras ser exiliado se retiró en su casa de San Pere de Rives, cerca de Barcelona, España, lugar donde vivieron muchos artistas de renombre. Ahora pasa su tiempo recibiendo amigos y resolviendo sus batallas, que lo acompañan en sus telas y en su soldados de plomo que conserva como un recuerdo de niño.
Iván Vial belonged to the artistic cutting edge movement Abstract Chilean in the sixties. After being exiled he retired at his home in San Pere de Rives near Barcelona, Spain, home of many famous artists. He now spends his time hosting friends and solving his battles, present on his canvases and his toy soldiers preserved as a memento of his childhood.
