The global luxury industry is experiencing unprecedented growth.
The emergence of upper- and middle-class economies, new digital technologies as well as the increasing need to engage with customers and provide superior customer experiences are driv-ing growth in the three luxury sectors: personal, experiential and transportation. Employers in luxury markets need talented individuals who understand the unique intricacies of the luxury industry and its consumers. The NC State and Skema dual master’s degree program is uniquely positioned to prepare students for successful global careers in the premium and luxury indus-tries.
Many luxury brands and houses are currently facing massive transformation processes accelerated by digitalization. Traditional companies are now changing their long-standing processes and starting to take risks. In order to tackle these challenges, creative leaders and visionary managers must be equipped to successfully handle these changes from strategic and operational perspectives.

Our joint curriculum provides core strategic management skills required to succeed in the luxury industry. This includes courses in negotiation, business communication, luxury digitalization, business relationship management, luxury marketing strategy, retail, branding, supply chain management and analytic decision-making. Our courses are taught by academic and profes-sional experts to prepare students to enter the luxury industry. Global Luxury and Management faculty have relevant experience grounded in research, publishing, teaching, speaking and consulting with premium and luxury companies and service providers. Over 20 professors and professionals teach in this highly prestigious program to share their knowledge and expertise in global premium and luxury management with students.

Fundamental courses that build essential skills for future business leaders in the premium and luxury industries
The accelerated dual master’s degree program in Global Luxury and Management allows students to obtain two graduate degrees from two leading academic institutions:
Master of Management with a concentration in Global Luxury from North Carolina State UniversityMaster of Science in Global Luxury Management from Skema Business School
The core curriculum is two semesters, followed by four months of professional experience and the completion of an academic thesis.
After completing two semesters of rigorous coursework, students complete a professional work experience and master’s thesis between May and December to complete their Skema degree. The Master of Science degree from Skema allows nonresidents of France to work in France for up to one year after program completion without having to apply for an extra visa.

Students start their experience in the USA at North Carolina State University in Raleigh. From August to December, students acquire the core strategic management business skills required for leadership, innovation and success in the global luxury industry.
Spring Semester at Skema Business School,
Paris, France
Students continue their studies in France at Skema Business School in Paris. From January to April, students do a deep dive into topics essential to the global luxury industry with access to luxury worldwide headquarters in Paris.

The NC State Global Luxury and Management Industry Advisory Board com-prises luxury industry executives representing major global brands and niche luxury businesses across all three luxury sectors.
Board members contribute time and insight related to the global luxury mar-ket, as well as opportunities for enhancing program content and experiences. Board members interact with students in a variety of ways, including network-ing, mentoring, guest lecturing, company visits and career opportunities.
The board meets twice a year to most effectively influence and engage with program leadership. Each board member serves a three-year term.
