Switch and Save Today
Natural gas, the cheaper, faster solution for your business
Over half of all Irish companies have taken action to improve their
energy efficiency in the last three years, according to a survey from the
Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). Details of the survey
revealed that reducing energy costs is a key priority for Irish businesses.
One of the most effective cost saving measures is to change to a cheaper
source of fuel. For commercial customers, natural gas offers a more cost
effective alternative to using electricity, oil or LPG, and gives considerable
savings on annual fuel bills.
Changing to natural gas can generate savings of up to:
70% savings on switching from electricity
60% savings on switching from LPG (cylinders)
50% savings on switching from LPG (bulk)
40% savings on switching from oil

Natural gas can be used for almost all applications, including:
l Heating and hot water
l Air handling units
l Air conditioning/chillers
l Catering/cooking
l Electricity generation (Combined Heat and Power).
Financial benefits ofchanging to natural gas
Natural gas is the most environmentally friendly fossil fuel available.
Our continued need for energy and the heightened awareness of our
environmental responsibilities has undoubtedly elevated the value of
natural gas in our lives. The use of natural gas instead of more polluting
fuels has resulted in considerably lower emissions of climate changing
greenhouse gases. In addition, natural gas offers customers a wide range
of benefits.

“The way we operate means that hot water usage
throughout the day can vary greatly. We operate
spinning classes at various times of the day while
other areas are open for individual training and
fitness coaching all day long. It means our hot water
demand is never the same every day. We needed
a solution that could provide hot water for all the
showers in one go for when classes end, but also a
package that works for us during the quieter times.
Using natural gas meant we didn’t need large
volumes of water to be kept hot all day and
therefore weren’t wasting energy and money when
demand was low.“
Chris Delooze, fitness instructor.

“Before we connected to natural gas we
were using more than 10 cylinders of
LPG a week. All our equipment was on
LPG so switching to natural gas saved
us over €12,000 a year which helped us
pay for our new equipment during our
renovations.”
Colm McDonagh, proprietor.
