The real battle is a battle for life. Godsthought for man has always been LIFE.

From the garden to the cross: LIFE!

Inasmuch then as the children have partakenof flesh and blood, He Himself likewise sharedin the same, that through death He might

destroy him who had the power of death, thatis, the devil, Heb.2:14

Satans ultimate goal is to populate hell.

His ally: death.

His most effective means: WAR. In our own short history as a nation look at

the deaths from war:

Revolutionary war: 25,000

Civil War: 625,000

WW I :116,000

WW II : 405,000

Vietnam: 58,000 These are just American casualties. In WW II

The total number of deaths is estimated

between 60-80 million deaths world wide. The thief cometh..

God has planted this church to do battle for LIFE inthe city of Portage.

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praisedIn the city of our God,

In His holy mountain.Beautiful in elevation,

The joy of the whole earth,Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north,The city of the great King.

God is in her palaces;He is known as her refuge.

We cannot be satisfied to have church while

the enemy has a plan for death.

We must go to war against satan and his

strategy for this city.

Our goal is populate heaven

Our weapon for this job is the Gospel ofsalvationthe words of eternal life!

God is positioning the church so that our

words are filled with POWER.

The gospel is a gospel of power. We have tried

to be popular, palatable, and pleasing to our

culture all the while losing our effectiveness.

This is in no way to endorse some wierdness

or harshness. But that we have been looking

for the wrong approval.

The Gospel is about JesusHe is the center

and the circumference. When the early church

preached Jesus people got saved, healed, and

delivered. Acts 8:5

against it, besieged it, and built great snares

wise man, and he by his wisdom delivered the
