1.Sam Pan Boak (3,000 hole canyon)

- Location Descriptions

Sam Pan Boak (3,000 hole canyon) has one of the largest rock reefs in Thailand. The Mae Khong River has flown through these canyons for many decades, which created many holes in rocks. That is the origin of its name “Sam Pan Boak”. “Boak” means “hole” in E-san (a dialect in the northeast of Thailand) and “Sam Pan” (3,000) actually means thousands of holes. In fact, tourists can only see the rocks during the dry season. Its beautiful scenery attracts many tourists and this wonderful place would be just perfect for sci-fi and action movies.

2.หาดชมดาว Hat Chom Dow (Stargazing Riverbank)

Hat Chom Dow (Stargazing Riverbank) is very similar to Sam Pan Boak. One major difference is that this place not only has rocks with holes,but also has a clean white sandbank. It is excellent for stargazing in dark nights. If you are looking for filming locations for romantic, action, sci-fi movies, you need to come to this awesome place!

3.หาดหงส ์Hat Hong (Swan Riverbank)

Hat Hong is a dune by the Mae Kong River. It looks like a small desert. The best time to go there is sunset as the light reflects off of the sand. This place would be great for adventure movies.

4.อุทยานแห่งชาติผาแต้ม Pha Taem National Park

- Descriptions

Pha Taem National Park is a national park and it is recognized as extensive rock painting on cliffs near the Mea Kong River. The painting was estimated to be 3,000-4,000 years old. Around the park, there are other places to visit such as Pha Cha Na Dai (See the first sunrise in Thailand), Sao Cha Lueng (mushroom rocks), and Sang Jan waterfall. 8.น ้าตกห้วยหลวง Nam Tok Hauy Long (Huay Long Waterfall)

Haun Long Waterfall has a height of 45 meters, which makes it the largest waterfall in Ubon Ratchathai. It has a beautiful sandbank underneath and clear water. By the waterfall, there is a rain forest. This location is great for filming adventure and romantic movies.
