1.Sam Pan Boak (3,000 hole canyon)

Sam Pan Boak (3,000 hole canyon) has one of the largest rock reefs in Thailand. The Mae Khong River has flown through these canyons for many decades, which created many holes in rocks. That is the origin of its name “Sam Pan Boak”. “Boak” means “hole” in E-san (a dialect in the northeast of Thailand) and “Sam Pan” (3,000) actually means thousands of holes.
